    Australia need 3 wickets.

England need 17 from 18 balls.

Alana King, the Aussie on debut, close 2nd for best player.

Aussie Lady (Captain?) who smashed her jaw less than a week ago ... courage award.

    Aussies need 1 wicket.

England need 13 from 12 balls.

Oh ... if England win ... it would be a record run chase in Australia

Jesus Christ when I tuned in they only needed something like 36 runs off 40 balls with 6 wickets in hand and still bottled it. That brittle DNA runs deep

    At least we're consistent.

We didn't lose either, kept the Aussies interested right to the last ball.

And in fairness the men pulled off a good win against the Windies last night to level the series. Tailor made for an abject capitulation in the decider.

When you turn a certain win into a lucky draw and convince yourself you did well… 555

But the Aussies were too defensive in the last two overs: they didn’t bring the field in until the last two balls and assured they would not lose. Give England a fighting chance and a reason to hit the ball up and over…

So the Australian women have won their series too against the old enemy, not that there was any doubt...

Good to see the scythe being ran though the English men's management and coaching staff, they'll still get flogged 5-0 in the next Ashes but there'll be renewed hope and enthusiasm by their supporters before that particular rug gets ripped out from under them again

Yeah, because Australia has won so often on tour in England over the last 20 years that it’s a foregone conclusion.

More astute analysis from fatty headwanx.

So the Ashes fallout continues with Justin Langer falling on his own sword. Quite frankly I thought winning four-zip and being 1 good ball off a whitewash in a rain shortened match might have been enough to save him, but against that shower of shit known as England it simply wasn't good enough

^Would he be desperate enough to touch that shambolic cluster-fuck? He's a coach, not a magician.
