England captain Andrew Strauss says it is "naive at best and dangerous at worst" to start thinking about a first series win in Australia in 24 years.
The 33-year-old's attention is only on the first day of the first Test at the Brisbane Cricket Ground on Thursday.
"I'm not looking at that finishing post at the moment. I'm looking at tomorrow, and starting the series well," he said.
The last England skipper to win at the ground was Mike Gatting, whose 1986 win contributed to a 2-1 series success.
That seven-wicket victory has been followed by five successive Australian wins in Ashes series down under. But Strauss does not want his team to get distracted by the possibility of breaking the trend. "Past history suggests not many people do that, so it's a great challenge for me and for the team," he said.

Watson to Cook, no run, 134.8 kph, dropped! And it's the debutant! Similar to the Strauss dismissal, short and Cook cracked it straight to Doherty at point, who jumped to take it above his head, had a couple of grabs at it but it ends on the turf. Big moment that, how will he respond

Could have done with Pieterson and Cook going on past tea, would have been a great start.

Never mind, Collywobble has punched Siddle away for 4 to get off the mark.......need a century stand here.

37.3 to Pietersen, 136.4 kph, got him! Siddle does the job! And boy did Australia need that! He's pitched it up and it may have seamed away just the tiniest bit, Pietersen drives hard looking for a boundary, and it's snaffled by Ponting at second slip 117/3

39.5 to Collingwood, 134.8 kph, Siddle strikes again! This time it's North who snaps up the catch at third slip, pretty low to the ground as well, so it's a good sharp take. Collingwood came forward and pushed outside off, the thick edge was enough to do him in 125/4
