^He's been in Australia since he was 5, that's about 30 years. Listen to him talk, if you spoke to this guy on the phone you'd know after 5 words you were talking to an Aussie. The total inverse of this would be someone like Kevin Pieterson.

And the declaration leaving the soap-avoiders 387, and not giving Carey a chance at his Hatrick

Let the circus begin again with these useless fucks, my prediction is all out for 243.

Thanks for the offer David4-0atTD, but I'm too busy to watch the cricket these days.

Must admit I've lost some interest as well... I don't know why.

As well as her Thai passport my daughter has a UK and Aussie passport... so I guess in a few years she could choose who to play for if she gets in to cricket?

Much to my disgust she's been supporting Australia during these Ashes.

You need to stamp on that pronto.

In other news its all looking up, its not about the past. Eng post heir highest opening partnership of the series, sunny uplands and all that.

I think this is the first time a Test in this series has got to day 5 so in the wash-up, the Poms will be able to point that out as a positive they've taken away from the match.

But think how much street cred you will gain by being half Aussie!

I just received a Green for 'having an Aussie daughter'.

I've always thought that any green is a good green, but...

Can I just say that my daughter is half English, half Thai. The wife is Thai but also a naturalised Aussie with citizenship... I met her in Perth.

So the Aussie status of my daughter is very tenuous and just legal mumbo jumbo. She has no Aussie blood!

Just wanted to clear that up.

And to be honest I find her support of Australia in The Ashes pretty damn traitorous.

She may well be doing this just to wind you up, you know what Aussies are like.

That’s true, my eldest supported Collingwood Football Club for 10 years just to piss me off, and my daughter supports the All Blacks.

but back to Mendy, father of an Aussie kid. I reckon that must make you half a good bloke (Obviously the other half is a bleeding Pom)

It would be great to see England go after this total but it seems this SCG pitch is inconsistent in bounce which it normally is on the 4th and 5th days.

Anyway I hope they have a go as they have nothing to lose.

^You/we just know what's going to happen here, they'll be something like 3 for 180 and all out for 210.
