The 125cc and the Moto2 race were great,i don't bother watching Moto gp any more.
Just not enough bike entered in the that class any more.
Kick out the 4 strokes and bring back the NSR 500.

Only 14 starters in the Moto GP class yesterday; and of those 14 in most cases we can be accurate in picking the top 6.
I didn't watch it - read one review saying Stoner lead from the second corner . . . not much overtaking . . . z z z z z

The 2-strokes - that would be a huge shock to the new riders, minus all the current technology, real beasts to fight around the track on.

Always look for Ratthapark Wilairot in the results, support the Chonburi man, but see he crashed in morning practice, didn't make the start grid. This will be his last season in Moto 2 I suspect, this year's performances a lot worse than 2010, and they were not memorable.

The moto 2 is just great racing with the guys having everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Good result for Casey, the Honda is definitely faster than the Yamahas this year. Glad it didn't rain might have been a different result

Man, Nicky is on his fourth engine already (out of six he's allowed) and he still can't compete (unless half the field crashes in front of him)- it's a shame.

I was hoping for a rain-induced bike-swap- that's always fun.

Australia's Casey Stoner dominated practice for Sunday's British Grand Prix as the Honda rider looks to capitalise on his win in Barcelona last weekend.

Stoner recorded the fastest lap in both sessions with a best time of 2min 03.748sec in the morning, just 0.2sec off the circuit record held by world champion Jorge Lorenzo.

It was the perfect start for the Australian who will be taking part in his 150th career race on Sunday.

"I'm pretty happy with how the day has gone after mixed conditions, we've seen a dry track, a wet track and then a 50/50 track so it's been interesting to have these variants throughout the day, but in general the bike has worked well," said Stoner.

"The track seems pretty good but some of the older sections are retaining a lot more water which is causing difficulties as in some areas you could be out on slicks but other parts are drenched.

"Looking at the way the wet tyres are working at the moment we shouldn't have too much of a problem though, the track seems to be kind on the Bridgestone tyres and not destroying them and even after this afternoon's session we didn't have a too big a problem with them."

Well the British Moto GP has started,its feckin pissing down.

Stoner was last time i looked, chucking down with rain Lorenzo and a few others had crashed out be suprised if they haven't stopped it by now.

Stoner won, Andrea somebody second and Colin Edwards third. I forgot and saw the last two laps, in the rain, no action at all. Just trying not to fall off.

Honda rider Casey Stoner won an action-packed British MotoGP at Silverstone to overtake defending champion Jorge Lorenzo at the top of the standings.

Australian Stoner, who started on pole, took his fourth win in six races as three of his main rivals crashed out.

Ben Spies was first to spin off in the wet conditions, before Lorenzo and Marco Simoncelli also suffered crashes.

Andrea Dovizioso claimed second with Colin Edwards a superb third. Valentino Rossi was sixth.

Stoner, who started seven points adrift of Lorenzo in the championship standings, now leads by 18 points from the Spaniard.

In the Moto 2 race that preceded the main event, Britain's Bradley Smith secured his second straight podium at his home race after rising from 28th on the grid to finish second.

Smith, who endured a nightmare qualifying session, weaved his Tech 3 up from the 10th row of the grid as Germany's Stefan Bradl, the championship leader, took his fourth victory in six races despite sliding twice on the wet track.

"Yesterday I just kind of wanted to pack up and go home," said Smith. "But when I saw the rain this morning, I knew things would turn around. We have got a great bike in the wet and knew I could make my way through the crowd."

Britain's Scott Redding, who started second on the grid, finished fifth on his Suter.

Good for him, deserves a podium

Casey Stoner was on another level . A 15 second lead time in the finish!! Seems it's going to be a runaway year, Lorenzo will be chasing hard next time out to keep up in the Title Chase . Needs to have intense battles for positions as such a small amount of machines in this class imo.

Good race for stoner he didn't put a tyre wrong in the rain.Even in that weather they still clocked 287kph down the straight.

^ hilarious alright, good for him if they ever have a masters/veterans class he'll be ready for it. Wonder what his sponsors think?
