    what became of Carl Ffffffffffogarty?

^ Retired in 2000 after a crash at Philip Island.
had a search to see what he's up to since managing the Petronas World Superbike team for a couple of years after his accident.

    Chat show celebrity!
This really surprised me he never seemed too 'vocal' with the public or media as a racer, maybe just his way of maintaining his focus, but good luck to him.

Ulster Grand Prix - (not MotoGP though)

didn't think this warranted a new thread, just one article. Last Saturday was the Ulster Grand Prix. Kiwi Bruce Anstey had a disappointing Isle of Man this year with only one podium finish. But he's still got it . . . the headline's a bit over the top, but a nice record to have

I've cut the article down a bit, full story at this link:
Ulster Grand Prix: Anstey celebrates being fastest man on planet - Ulster Grand Prix, Motorsport - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk
Anstey celebrates being fastest man on planet
    Tuesday, 17 August 2010

New Zealander Bruce Anstey re-wrote the record books during his winning ride in the final Superbike race at the Ulster Grand Prix on Saturday when he took his Relentless Suzuki GSX-R1000 by TAS around the 7.4mile Dundrod Circuit in three minutes 18.870 seconds — a speed of 133.977mph.

And with it he became the fastest man in the world on the fastest circuit in the world.

On becoming the quickest rider on the planet the quiet, laid back Anstey said: “That really means a lot to me. People were saying I was finished as a racer, there wasn’t another win in me, I had lost the speed, the edge had gone off me and all sorts of rumours were flying around. It was nice to confine those rumours to the dustbin."

“So it was terrific from that respect to get the win on Saturday plus have the record lap back in my name. People forget I held the lap record back in 2004 although it was nowhere near what the speed is today. It took it to go over 130mph to catch attention.”

    Speed kings on two wheels

The history books show the late Barry Sheene lapped the 14k Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium at a speed of 137.15mph back in 1977, but that circuit is not in use any more so Dundrod holds the distinction of being the world’s fastest road race circuit.

In fact two of the three major international road race circuits have the prestige of having lap records in excess of 130mph, Dundrod now with a lap record close to 134mph courtesy of Bruce Anstey and the TT at 131.578mph standing to John McGuinness.

And even in the world of Grand Prix racing the Rossi’s, Lorenzo’s and Capirossi’s never reach lap times close to what was achieved at Dundrod. In fact at Grand Prix level much talk is about achieving 200mph on the straights of man-made ‘car park’ circuits.

On Saturday, Cameron Donald, also on a Relentless Suzuki by TAS, clocked 197mph on a road race circuit through the speed trap on the ‘Flying Kilo.’

    Yamaha working on Lorenzo-Spies line-up

    Monday, 16 August 2010
MD of Yamaha Motor Racing Lin Jarvis has confirmed to motogp.com that negotiations are in progress to have the Spaniard and American as the factory team pairing for next season, following confirmation of Valentino Rossi’s departure at the end of 2010.

Sunday’s official announcement of Valentino Rossi’s departure from Yamaha at the end of the season means the Japanese factory are now in the process of putting in place their rider line-up for the 2011 campaign.
Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, Lin Jarvis, explained to motogp.com that negotiations are currently in progress to once again secure Jorge Lorenzo’s services and have Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rookie Ben Spies alongside the Spaniard in the factory team.
Jarvis, who stressed that neither deal had been formalised yet, explained: “Our plan is that we would obviously like to continue with Jorge who is having such a wonderful year at the moment. We are working closely with him and his management to try and close the deal. I’m optimistic that in the near future I hope we can achieve that.”
He continued: “Our plan is also to bring Ben Spies over from the Tech 3 team. Again that has not been concluded yet. As soon as all the contractual agreements are fixed then we will make our announcement. At this moment that’s the plan for the factory team.”
Speaking about the departure of Rossi who will join Ducati, Jarvis said: “It was a sad day (Sunday) because even though we have known about his decision for some weeks when you make the public announcement it becomes a fact.”
Jarvis was speaking at the official MotoGP test at Brno on Monday where Rossi tested a new Yamaha engine upgrade, and in a separate interview the Italian rider said he hoped to be able to ride the Ducati for the first time at the end-of-season Valencia test. Masao Furusawa, Executive Officer of Engineering Operations at Yamaha, indicated however that this was unlikely due to contractual agreements.

Spies gets a taste of next year at Brno

    Wednesday, 18 August 2010
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider tested a prototype version of the 2011 M1 at the official MotoGP test, and was pleased to be able to gain an early impression of the machine.

Ben Spies was handed the responsibility of testing an early prototype of the 2011 Yamaha YZR-M1 machine at the official MotoGP test at Brno on Monday, and the American rookie was happy to have contributed to what he said had been a “productive day” at the Czech track.
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider is being lined up to make the graduation to the factory team next season, and he completed 36 of his 42 test laps on the 2011 prototype, setting the sixth fastest time of the day as he aided the development of the new bike.
“It was a good day. I can't say too much about the new bike and honestly I'm not sure exactly what I rode, I just got on and rode what was given to me,” said Spies. “I didn't set any blistering lap times today but that was not the objective. Today was all about giving feedback and getting some data on the new bike.”
“The good thing is that I was pretty much on the pace of the bike I've been riding since February and that is a big positive because we've got plenty of time to work on that bike. We got lots of information so it was a productive day.”
The test rounded off a successful weekend for Spies, who finished fourth in the race having started from the front row of the grid for the first time. Next up is Indianapolis where he is targeting a season’s best result in front of a strong home support.
“It was a good weekend with my first front row start and a strong fourth place in the race and after today I'm heading to Indianapolis for another home race full of confidence. I love racing in front of my home fans and hopefully I'll be able to get my best result of the season at Indy,” he concluded.

Cool Jay Leno to serve as Red Bull Indianapolis GP Grand Marshal

    Thursday, 19 August 2010
Yamaha and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are pleased to bring legendary comedian and late-night television host Jay Leno to serve as grand marshal of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP motorcycle race.

Leno, an avid motorsports enthusiast and collector of motorcycles and cars, will meet with MotoGP teams and riders on Race Day, Sunday, Aug. 29 at IMS and also present a trophy to a podium finisher.

“The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the greatest spectator tracks in the world,” Leno said. “Thankfully my R1 will stay in the Big Dog Garage as I plan to watch and cheer on our three Americans right from the pits.”

Leno’s role as grand marshal extends his involvement with both the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and MotoGP.

In 1999, Leno drove the Chevrolet Monte Carlo Pace Car that led the field of 33 drivers to the start of the Indianapolis 500. In July, Leno opened his incredible collection of cars and motorcycles at Jay Leno’s Garage in Southern California to current MotoGP riders and legends in a special event presented by Yamaha before the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif.

Spies secures superb first ever MotoGP pole at Indianapolis

    ..

    The Americans: Hayden, Edwards, Spies

Ben Spies will start a MotoGP race from pole position for the first time on Sunday at Indianapolis after the rookie laid down a fantastic hot lap in qualifying.
Spies was 0.220s quicker than Championship leader and last year’s race winner Jorge Lorenzo who took his Fiat Yamaha M1 machine round in the second fastest time, and there was further joy for the American fans as Nicky Hayden took his first Ducati front-row place with third.
Andrea Dovizioso had held top spot briefly and his best time of 1’40.559 placed him fourth on the starting grid, with his Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa fifth at just under eight-hundredths further back. Casey Stoner, who had been fastest in both practice sessions, could only qualify in sixth as he lapped 0.559s off the pace of Spies on his Ducati Desmosedici GP10.
The third row will be headed up by Valentino Rossi (Fiat Yamaha) and the Italian was left frustrated but uninjured when he fell at turn six with little over five minutes to go – his second fall of the day following an earlier one in practice. Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini) also had a crash in the final stages of the session but managed to secure eighth place, equalling his best qualification so far this season, with Colin Edwards (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) and Loris Capirossi (Rizla Suzuki) completing the top ten.

Pedrosa the clear victor at Indianapolis

    Sunday, 29 August 2010
The Repsol Honda rider took a third win of the season for the first time in his premier class career at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday, with home rider and pole man Ben Spies achieving his best MotoGP result to date in second. Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo completed the podium.

Dani Pedrosa narrowed the gap on Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo to 68 points with seven rounds of the 2010 season remaining by winning the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix on Sunday. It was the Repsol Honda rider’s third win of the campaign, the first time he has achieved three wins in a season in the premier class.
Starting from the second row Pedrosa was on the pace early on and a fastest lap on lap two lifted him into second position, as he set his sights on pole holder Ben Spies. On the end of the seventh lap the Spaniard overtook the rookie on the start/finish straight and never relinquished the lead, eventually crossing the line 3.575s clear of Spies.
For the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider second place marked his best result to date and a second podium in what has already been a fantastic debut season. Spies started from pole – the first of his MotoGP career – and his race result capped off a great weekend which also saw him confirmed as a factory Yamaha rider for 2011.
Completing the podium was Championship leader Lorenzo who had started from second on the grid but dropped to fifth at the start of the race. That failed to affect his concentration however and he battled his way past Andrea Dovizioso and into third just before the midway point of the race, finishing just over three seconds off Spies as his phenomenal record of having placed in the top two in every race this season was finally broken.
A complicated weekend for Valentino Rossi (Fiat Yamaha) ended with the reigning World Champion placing fourth in the race, as he won the battle of the Italians with Repsol Honda rider Dovizioso who took fifth. Nicky Hayden was sixth having started from the front row for the first time in his Ducati career.
Rookies Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini) and Álvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki) impressed with seventh and eight places respectively, with Aleix Espargaró (Pramac Racing) and Héctor Barberá (Páginas Amarillas Aspar) completing the top ten. Loris Capirossi, Hiroshi Aoyama – on his return from injury – and Randy de Puniet were the final three riders to finish the race.
Suffering the disappointment of DNFs were Marco Melandri (lap two) on his 200th Grand Prix start, Casey Stoner who lost the front end of his Ducati Desmosedici GP10 (lap eight), Colin Edwards who was forced to retire with rear tyre issues (lap 17) and Mika Kallio who crashed in turn ten when he hit a bump.
Lorenzo moves onto 251 points with Pedrosa now on 183 in second in the standings. Dovizioso is third on 126, with Stoner now seven points behind in fourth. Rossi remains in fifth while Spies moves up to sixth.

^ sad, deaths are rare on these circuits with protective clothing, run-off areas, plenty of room to slide but in this case the risk of being hit my another rider.

    Good article though, on how young our current stars began their racing careers;
MotoGP riders Colin Edwards and Ben Spies competed at even higher levels as teens. Edwards ran his first 250cc race at 17, while Spies made his first start in the 125cc series at 12.

It's just a bummer- I know one of his instructors in California- he's been talking about the kid since he was 11-years-old, saying how he was going to be a star.

    meanwhile in Moto2

I try to keep up with Thailand's entry in Moto2, Ratthapark Wilairot from Chonburi, early in the season he was 7th on points and his best result was a 4th. Since then he's had an attack of dropsy-bike and has done a lot of falling off.

Again yesterday - challenging for 7th place, 9 laps to go, off he goes. Before that here had been two accidents already.

Toni Elías won the Moto2 Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix with a characteristically measured ride on Sunday, taking a third consecutive GP win for the first time in his career as he tightened his grip on the inaugural title. The Gresini Racing rider now leads the overall standings by 67 points after ten rounds, having topped the podium ahead of pole man Julián Simón (Mapfre Aspar) and Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing Team).
The race was restarted and shortened to 17 laps due to two separate crashes on the opening lap of the original contest which brought out the red flag, and Shoya Tomizawa (Technomag-CIP) and Michael Ranseder (Vector Kiefer Racing) were unfortunate in being unable to restart due to physical and mechanical issues respectively.
Championship leader Elías made a fantastic getaway as he used the gap on the front row vacated by Simone Corsi (JiR Moto2) to advance into the lead on lap one. Corsi started from the back of the grid having qualified fourth as he experienced problems with his bike due to the crash, but rocketed up the field throughout the race.
There were more falls in the early part of the race as Alex Debón, Vladimir Ivanov, Héctor Faubel, Stefan Bradl, Ricky Cardús, Yusuke Teshima, Yuki Takahashi, Roberto Rolfo, Jules Cluzel and Raffaele de Rosa all suffered bad luck. Ratthapark Wilairot also fell with nine laps to go when pushing in seventh.

A handful from the world's best

They came from all over the World to the Italian track of Adria, near Venice, to show their skills in the hope of being invited to join the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for 2010. Just seven teenagers made the cut and they can join the 18 Rookies retained from the 2009 Cup. Three reserves were also selected.

It was an intense day of testing in warm and humid conditions but the cool track in the early morning caught out some of the youngsters though there were no serious injuries. The initial 15 minute familiarization session was followed by two 20 minute tests with groups of 7 riders out on the track together.

An extremely high level of ability was represented from as far afield as New Zealand, Poland, Argentina, the Russian Federation, the USA and Brazil. Judges Gustl Auinger, Harald Bartol, Raul Jara and Peter Clifford made their selection and the results were announced to the riders before they left the circuit.
    The invited riders are:
    • Florian Alt, Germany
    • Niccolo Antonelli, Italy
    • Antonio Chiari, Brazil
    • Deni Cudic, Austria
    • Brody Nowlan, Australia
    • Xavier Pinsach, Spain
    • Alan Techer, France
    • Philipp Öttl, Germany, Reserve 1
    • James Flitcroft, England, Reserve 2
    • Tomas Vavrous, Czech Republic, Reserve 3
Those Rookies invited from the 2009 Cup are:
    • Brad Binder, South Africa
    • Kevin Calia, Italy
    • Alessio Cappella, Nigeria
    • Xavier Figueras, Spain
    • Jake Gagne, USA
    • Daijiro Hiura, Japan
    • Joshua Hook, Australia
    • Danny Kent, England
    • Alex Kristiansson, Sweden
    • Taylor Mackenzie, Scotland
    • Florian Marino, France
    • Alejandro Pardo, Italy
    • Fraser Rogers, England
    • Daniel Ruiz, Spain
    • Mathew Scholtz, South Africa
    • Arthur Sissis, Australia
    • Benny Solis, USA
    • Harry Stafford, England

MotoGP World Championship Back In Action This Coming Weekend At Misano

    Aug 31, 2010, ©Copyright 2010, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc.
From a press release issued by Bridgestone:
Bridgestone MotoGP Preview - Round 12: San Marino

    Tuesday 31 August 2010

    Bridgestone slick compounds available:
    Front: Medium, Hard.
    Rear: Medium, Hard

The weekend after the Indianapolis Grand Prix, MotoGP action continues in San Marino at the Misano World Circuit which presents Bridgestone with a totally different type of challenge than was faced in North America. San Marino is a much smoother circuit with a lower level of grip, which means that the medium and hard compound slicks have been selected front and rear. The circuit’s layout also places equal loads on both shoulders of the tyres, so asymmetric rear slicks are not necessary. It is only the fifth race of the season to which Bridgestone have not brought asymmetric tyres because the circuit has not demanded them.

Although there has not been a wet race so far this season, Bridgestone are prepared with hard compound wet tyres as even though the circuit’s surface is smooth, the ambient temperature in the region is generally high and the hard compound wets offer better durability in these conditions.

The nature of the circuit is twisty and riders spend a lot of time on the brakes, meaning that braking stability from the front tyre is crucial. Edge grip is also important especially when exiting turns six, ten and sixteen, all of which lead onto sections of straight.

The right-handed kinks of turns eleven and twelve are high-speed and require excellent tyre stability. Riders must have confidence in their bike and tyre package to commit to these turns else a great proportion of time can be lost through them.

After a time away, MotoGP returned to Misano in 2007, but the circuit layout was changed slightly at turn three in 2008, increasing the track’s length to 4.226km. Bridgestone has a great track record in Misano since the circuit’s return to the calendar in 2007.

Ducati Team’s Casey Stoner took pole and won in 2007 on Bridgestone tyres, and in 2008 and again last year Valentino Rossi set a new lap record on his way to victory.

Hiroshi Yamada – Manager, Bridgestone Motorsport Department

“Misano has been a successful event for us since it was included on the MotoGP calendar again, right from 2007 when the top five riders were all on Bridgestone tyres. In both years of tyre competition there the race was won by a Bridgestone-shod rider, and last year Valentino set a new lap record on our tyres so I am confident that we can play our part again this year in a good race. The many braking points tend to bunch the field and provide close racing, with plenty of opportunities for overtaking. We saw a fantastic race in Indianapolis and there is still much to play for in the championship so I am excited about returning to Europe once more.”

Tohru Ubukata – Manager, Bridgestone Motorcycle Tyre Development Department

“The track surface at Misano is smooth and offers relatively low grip, but the ambient temperature is generally high for the grand prix. The climate condition requires harder compounds, but track surface requires softer compounds so we must achieve a balance in our tyre selection.

“The layout is basically twisty, but there are some high-speed corners which require very good stability to give the riders confidence to attack. Overall the circuit is not so demanding for our tyres, but braking stability is important because of the many heavy braking points. Tyre wear and temperature is equal in both shoulders so it is not necessary to bring asymmetric tyres so Misano, even though there are more right hand corners than lefts.”

More, from a press release issued by Dorna Communications:

The action continues to come thick and fast as the MotoGP field returns to the track just five days after the visit to Indianapolis, with the World Championship moving onto Misano for the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Jorge Lorenzo remains the rider to catch, having maintained his 100% podium record for the season in the U.S. along with his substantial lead in the standings.

The fact that third place at Indianapolis represented the Fiat Yamaha rider’s worst result of the season to date is testament to his phenomenal form in 2010, and he has now finished on the podium for 12 successive races – stretching back to the final race of last season in Valencia. In his two previous premier class visits to Misano Lorenzo has placed second and will be going for an eighth win of the season on Sunday.

Brimming with confidence will be his main challenger Dani Pedrosa, and the pair’s intense competitiveness has continued throughout the season. The Repsol Honda rider trimmed his rival’s Championship lead to 68 points with victory at Indy, his third of the campaign, and edged back in front of Lorenzo in the GP victory stakes across all classes. The score now is 34-33 to Pedrosa, with Lorenzo leading in terms of premier class wins at 12-11. Last season Pedrosa completed the podium at Misano behind Lorenzo, but will be aiming to upset his adversary’s run to a first MotoGP title and become the first Spaniard to win in the premier class at the circuit.

Further back Andrea Dovizioso and Casey Stoner are separated by just seven points respectively as they continue to contest third position. The Repsol Honda man has a best premier class result of fourth which came last season in his first race on new Öhlins suspension and was disappointed with fifth last time out at Indy. For Stoner it has been two years since he raced at Misano having missed last season due to illness, and he will want to correct his DNF at Indianapolis. A repeat of his 2007 victory from pole would be the perfect remedy for the Ducati Team rider.

Reigning World Champion Valentino Rossi has won for the past two years at Misano, last season from pole, and is hot on the tail of Stoner in the standings having finished fourth in Round 11. Ben Spies in turn has the Italian in his sights after a season’s best result at Indianapolis of second and the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider won one of the two WSBK races at Misano last year. Just a point behind him is fellow American Nicky Hayden who continues his search for a first podium of the season on his factory Desmosedici GP10.

Randy de Puniet’s (LCR Honda) continuing recovery from his broken leg will take its next step, whilst rookie Marco Simoncelli and his San Carlo Honda Gresini team-mate Marco Melandri will both want solid home results. Colin Edwards (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) is closely grouped with last year’s 250cc race winner Héctor Barberá (Páginas Amarillas Aspar), and veteran Italian Loris Capirossi (Rizla Suzuki) is scheduled to become only the second rider in the 62-year history of GP racing to make 200 premier class starts.

Still 175 points available from seven races; places 3-7 all within 17 points, while 1st and 2nd look reasonably 'safe' as long as no major accidents.
Sure Rossi is aiming for 3rd or better . . . as long as it ahead of 'Where's my front-end' Stoner

    Lorenzo focused on podium stay

    Wednesday, 01 September 2010
The Championship leader’s goal is further consolidation of his advantage in the standings at Misano, as he bids to maintain his record of having stood on the podium in every race this season.

Misano presents a new challenge for Jorge Lorenzo as the Fiat Yamaha rider takes his 68-point Championship lead to the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini and a circuit on which he has twice finished second in the premier class.
The Spaniard comes into the 12th round of the 2010 campaign having placed outside the top two for the first time this season in the previous race at Indianapolis. Third place can hardly be considered a drop in standards however and the result maintained the 23 year-old’s comfortable lead at the summit of the standings.
In Misano Lorenzo faces a track on which he has a solid personal record. In the three races he has ridden there he has been on the podium each time; a 250cc win in 2007 and second in the premier class in the precious two seasons the results that mark a confidence-inspiring affinity with the San Marinese venue.
This weekend Lorenzo will aim to maintain his 100% podium record in 2010 as he aims to further protect his advantage, and he said: "We are going straight to Misano and I want to continue in the same way and get on the podium again. I've been second there for the last two years and I am feeling very motivated and looking forward to another good race.”
After a particularly draining weekend in the heat at Indy Lorenzo is hoping for kinder conditions. “I hope the temperature is a bit cooler than in Indy because it was really too hot there,” he said. “Last Sunday was my worst result this year, but I am still happy because it was still third and because it was very important for our goal, which is the Championship."

Pedrosa confident and Dovizioso targeting podium | The Official MotoGP Website

Pedrosa confident and Dovizioso targeting podium

    Wednesday, 01 September 2010
The Spaniard is fresh off the back of his third win of the season whilst his Italian team-mate on the Repsol Honda team is aiming for a home podium this weekend at Misano.

With little time to dwell on the weekend’s happenings at Indianapolis the Repsol Honda team, along with the remainder of the MotoGP field, turn their focus to Misano and the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini as Round 12 beckons.
For Indy race winner Dani Pedrosa a third victory of the season has boosted his confidence further and he will now attempt to improve on last season’s podium finish of third at Misano.
“We are at a very competitive moment right now and three wins so far this year is more than I had in my previous MotoGP seasons,” said the Spanish rider. “I’m feeling very confident for the next races. Indianapolis was great and it was very satisfying to win such a physically demanding race however, we don’t have so much time to recover before Misano this weekend. Having said that, we’ll be ready. The team is in a good mood and we have proved that we can be competitive for many races in a row, so we want to continue this form.”
At 68 points off leader Lorenzo and in second place Pedrosa is the closest challenger to his fellow Spaniard and rival. “The gap in the Championship to Lorenzo is still very big and he has been very consistent, so our goal for the rest of the season is simply to continue being competitive at every GP and give ourselves the chance to win races, starting with another one this weekend,” explained Pedrosa.
“Misano has been a difficult circuit for Honda in the last few years but this time we will try to do the best possible job and be right at the front once again. We’ll have to do a very good job to find the right setting and get good traction - as we did in Indianapolis.”
Dovizioso is also a man full of concentration as his home GP arrives. The Italian is currently third in the Championship and is seeking a return to the podium on a track at which he has a best premier class result of fourth, from last season.
“We arrive in Misano in very determined mood; our target is the podium,” stated the 24 year-old. “In Indianapolis we were fast during the race weekend but we couldn’t maintain consistent speed for the whole race distance and this is something we must work on and improve. Now we need to score some strong results. I’m feeling very positive about this GP because compared to last year we have progressed a lot.”
He continued: “I’m confident. Misano is a special track for me, not only because it’s my home GP - in fact I live only 70kms away - but because I raced my first “real” race bike there in 2000. It was an incredible experience, and at that moment I had the feeling that something big and special was happening.”

heard the saying 'break a leg' ? Ask Rossi - sure he's heard it a few times now.

My money would be on Lorenzo to win, but unfortunately it'll be remembered as the title in the year Rossi broke his leg.

Me? I've just broken a tooth and wondering if araldite makes good fillings?

two more scooters from Sepang last year - the Suzuki was a 'concept model'

made me think about all the marketing and merchandising involved in Stoner and Rossi changing manufacturer - they'll keep their numbers 27 and 46 I suppose, but a huge market for new supporters gear to be sold. I'll continue to wear my #46 yellow t-shirt. Red is not for me. It is often not the colour to wear in Thailand.
