    New Zealand beating Italy

Is this what they meant when they said the New World Order?

Well done the Kiwi's- would've been real nice though if you'd hung on to the 1-0 lead. Seems all the hype over the Socceroo's will come to nought.

Said to be 'widespread discontent' in the English camp too.
Are these soccer players all Camp?

    Oh dear:-

Central American referee Carlos Batres has fallen for the worst dive of the World Cup by the most theatrical Italian since Federico Fellini. By doing so, he cost New Zealand's All Whites a famous win over football's reigning world champions.

The scenes were reminiscent of Australia's defeat to Italy in the 2006 World Cup.

Make no bones about it - Italy, winners of four World Cup crowns, cheated to get back into the game.

In an act unworthy of a world champion, Daniele De Rossi flopped to the deck in the All Whites penalty area, alleging he'd been pushed by 20-year-old Kiwi innocent - Tommy Smith.

Italian theatrics cost New Zealand famous win over defending champions Italy

What a bunch of girls blouses.

Sounds like you Australians would prefer to blame the ref than concede that Australia and New Zealand are playing a grown ups game badly...

Sounds like the NZ goal was offside, so works out fair.

Strange though, soccer fans in NZ are wildly celebrating a draw.

Speak for yourself. That's two draws for the All Whites now, they're having a blinder!

No it wasn't. The ball was played off of an Italian defender to the kiwi.

This is news? Both the Italians and the Brazilians were flopping and diving all over the place today, as per normal.

After touching the head of a Kiwi striker - it was offside.

Have to agree about the cheating, diving Latinos though.

Here's an interesting quote I've just seen at the end of an article about the game:
New Zealand reportedly has just 25 professional footballers - against Italy's 3541. Amateur players have been included in New Zealand's World Cup squad
Puts it into perspective and explains why the Italians are so upset with their team at the moment.

I suppose in some respects it would be the same if they drew with us in the rugby.
