Yes Parra had a great side with the likes of Sterlo, Ray Price, Cronin, Grothe, Steve Edge, Steve Ella and Brett Kenny to name just a few champions.

During those years Parra were almost unbeatable and had a great rivalry with my side the Bulldogs.

The right team won sadly, the storm dominated for most of the game and in the first half the eels looked clueless in the red zone.

But an admiral fight back and without the one obvious poor call towards the end of the game could have done it.

Atmosphere sounded good, I'm sure Sharon had a great day and is hopefully still in the pub enjoying the day.

Cracking game, storm did deserve to win, but. Eels never gave in, another 10 mins could have seen a different result

Great game, hard as and I thought the Storm were deserving winners but I did enjoy the Parra fight back.

The penalty at a crucial point of the game was unfair but when it happened I immediately thought it was a just decision.

Unfortunately the referee doesn't have the benefit of slow motion replay and at the end of the day the best team (by 6 points) won.

An enjoyable game to watch with my mate from melbourne. thought the eels were going to take it down to the wire late in the second half, but it was a credit to the game as a final.

I was disappointed by the first half. They should have done better than that. Anyway, it's a great game. I did really enjoy it. It's such a great experience to watch the grand final, I still can't believe it that we lost -_-".

Since I've just become NRL fan for a few months, could anyone educate me why people always make horrible noise when my Fui Fui Moi Moi got a ball? I went to watch 3 live games (with Knights, Dragons and Storm), it happened the same thing. Why? Ohhh even I watch on TV, I still can hear that noise when he got a ball.

Good comeback effort by the Eels Sharon. Did you get a ticket in the end?

Hasn't been the same since Serlo, Fatty, Blocker and the rest.

    Balmain Tigers

    Eastern Suburbs

    Newtown Jets

The way it was, the way it should be . . . and that's why Union is better

Dragons triumphed in a slugfest with few mistakes from either side. Dragons lose Fien (who setup both tries) for 6 months with a broken ankle and Eels lose Shackleton (a new recruit) for 6 weeks with a bad hamstring tear. Both sides looked the real deal this year although they were scratchy in attack. Final score 18-12.
Shock of the round was the Roosters (last year's spooners) beating the much vaunted Rabbits. Final score 24-18(I think).

Australia Network look like they are doing a great job of broadcasting more games this year.

Brilliant round 1 games. Go the Tigers!!

Melbourne's defense under presure in their own half for most of the second half was awesome to come back from 0-14 to win 20-14.
