I took one look at the set up and said "fuk that for a game of soldiers!"

I can't be arsed changing the team more than once.

    Fucking hell! Fucking Hell!

    Fuvck

    Fuckkk

    When will I fucking learn!!!!

Read the rules Nick, fucking helll!!!!!!

    Making Lehman fucking captain....

Captains can get double points, but that also means double minus points as well.

If you look at it having a goalkeeper from a stronger team is shit - they can earn very few points from making saves and can easily lose points by letting a goal or 2 in.

Ballack on the bench, Huth on the bench, fuck I only bought them cos I know their names...

Probably better to only have attackers playing as it looks easy for defenders and keepers to go negative....

F this, where's that game of soldiers, I've managed to forget to change my team for 3 days now, missing out on Van Der Sar and get this, fooking 2 goals Tim Cahill!!!!!!!

By the looks of things most people have given up and given the trophy to Torbek already.

I didn't change my team yesterday either and missed out on a few points.

Aparently, the reason why Torbers is doing well is because he's the only one who can read. Fair enough.

Nice going Torbers.....I feel honoured to sort of know you.

I'm about 24,400th in the European League.....I left Ronaldino and Kaka on the bench for when Brazil played this evening....

Ah, well, I think my team has decided to retire from the competition rather early - I just couldn't get into the routine of changing my team before the games were played!!!

I think maybe an auto-substitution system a la Fantasy Premierleague would have worked better as it was kinda brainless putting Brazil players in when Brazil were playing etc....., unfortunately several of us are slightly lower on the intelligence scale than brainless and couldn't handle the pressure.

So, like Kevin Keegan after losing at home to Germany, I'm going to hold my hands up and say, I'm not up to the job....

danbo, I hand over the running of my team to you, knowing that it will be in safe hands.

I will break it to you gently. There is automatic substitution in the game.

    All done now.

Managed to finish 17th which ain't bad from several hundred thousand.

Would have done better if (a) you were actually allowed to pick a full new squad after groups games like the rules said you could and (b) I had been able to log in that one day were the system was pretty much out for an hour before the first game on a match day.

Anyway...pretty silly game really, that favoured those who read the rules from the start and loaded their teams heavily with strikers.

Most days everyone in the top 10 were fielding very similar teams to each other so pretty hard to catch up if you had a bad start.

    Now...

    On to premier league...

Well done Torbek, and a good runners up spot for Marmite.

The man with the wooden spoon if danbo, but i wish he wouldn't stick the handle up his anus, cos we've got to use it again next time!

Well done for reading the rules properly, Torbers.
