Well, the Kiwis won and are through to the next round.
Australia just beat Afghanistan by only 4 runs.
Tomorrow, England will go through if they beat Sri Lanka. Otherwise the Australians have it.
^ Things have changed somewhat since then, David141atTD!
But anyway, I'm not here to gloat. I want to thank you again for that link you gave me during the Ashes all those months ago. I'm still using it to watch the cricket today.
Green owed and sent!
^ Doing so well and you come along and they drop to 93-3!!
Can England snatch defeat from the jaws of victory??
If that ever fails, I was watching today on ... https://watch.cricstream.me/
Then ... https://watch.cricstream.me/t20-streams
^ Many thanks mate, I hope I'll need them.
I may have gloated too early...
^ nah, you guys will be right.
BTW, the hosting nation has never won the series ... weird, considering home pitch advantage and all that.
Woakes in to put some boundaries on the board
Calm my nerves
Please
Oh for fuks sake...
Mods, please delete my earlier post.
Yeah, point taken. I was actually expecting a loss going in to the last over.
I should know by now.
Roll on the semis...
Phew!!
Just teasing the colonials...
The Aussie bating has been woeful with both Warner and Smith out of form.
The selectors need to retire these two and dedicate their space on the team to other players.
Australia needs to pick mission specialists for the 3 different types of cricket.
Test cricket should always be the pinnacle of the sport, but you might pick up and temper a few youngsters from the short versions of the game. Get them to graduate into the pinnacle of the sport from there, maybe?
Test cricket is an art form, that requires understanding, experience and patience.
I like how England toyed with Sri Lanka to give our convict friends vain hope.
Always in control.
What a delight to see the convicts kicked out on what serves as their home soil.
This tournament has seen some excellent cricket and thrown up some surprises. England looked so good yesterday as they cruised to 75, Buttler went to a fine catch and then it went pear-shaped and we gave SL catching practice. Well done Ben Stokes, standing firm as others fell around him, he was the one man I was happy to see on strike with 3 needed from 3 balls. Stokes hit a solid boundary and England progress to the semis. Will they meet India next?
Then this morning the Netherlands beat South Africa and SA are out of the tournament. Big surprise. That result means that the winner of the Bangladesh/Pakistan match now underway will definitely go through and the loser is out. No pressure then.
Think it was Woakes who hit the winning boundary.
If memory serves, Stokes got sixty odd runs in his previous 10 knocks.
