They might be regretting that...37 for 6 and Potts is having a great morning.

Well this is going rather well so far.

Particularly appreciated how we wriggled out of having to clap him for a whole minute.

New Zealand's first innings score of 132 looks quite good now.

England spinner Jack Leach has been withdrawn from the first Test against New Zealand at Lord's after suffering symptoms of concussion.
The 30-year-old took a heavy fall while chasing a ball to the boundary in the sixth over of the first day.

NZ now 211 in the lead. Mitchell looking very settled and Blundell cruising as well.

Well, that's stirred things up, three quick wickets. Game on.

NZ should have declared at 50 and put us into bat for a quick finish.

276 for England to look like they're gonna chase until we lose our first wicket at about 70 before we're 104/6 and eventually capitulate at 160 plus.

    England, my England!

Lovely weather at Lords today as well.

    Totally unrelated, mind.

Root and Stokes are the wickets, obviously.

I'd love to see Crawley make a century. He looked good in the first innings and then played an awful stroke. The openers need to get a good foundation to settle things...

    ... that's sure to start a collapse.

How long have we been saying the same things about our openers and the impending collapse?

    And Lees has gone.

Andy Gray and Martin Tyler would no doubt describe this as "finely poised" when covering the football and most would agree as we retire for lunch.

    Except England are batting.

^ Eng batsmen just seem to find ways to get out, half the time its not even the opposition bowlers. We'll gift a couple of run outs and a hit wicket no doubt.
