Well Root obviously didn't have the cojones to take his best side, and is overdue the chop as captain.

    Strip looks a bit spicy.

In other news... William copped a few in the mush yesterday.

Apparently the Windies asked for a lively pitch in the first two matches but the local associations dialled them down in favour of getting 5 days.

    Michael V. being rehabilitated.

    Hmm.

Always thought there was something 'off' about him.

I fully expect him to resume TMS duties but with a BBC announcement before each broadcast stating Mt Vaughan may occasionally say something which could cause offence and that this does not represent the views of the BBC or any of its staff. I imagine he's on three strikes.

This is more like the England we know and, err, love.

    Good bowling there, mind.

The good news is the match is unlikely to interfere with my weekend plans. Which i won't divulge as Syb gets all hoity-toity

Fuck me, but you really do never miss a chance to be a complete wanker whenever there's a remote chance of us getting along, do you.

It's quite odd for a man of your age.

^ Syb, i'm not the one stomping around with the grumpy hat on. You popped in and immediately started having a pop at all and sundry, i assume that you were late logging on and it was all a bit of rush which got you flustered. All good.

I see England's cunning plan to make sure there isn't another tedious draw.

^A moment of pure gold during play yesterday when some 19 year old Paki bowler cleaned Khawaja up with a jaffa then gave him a 1st class spray as he was walking back to the sheds while looking at his boot-laces, till the Umpire told him to wait a minute while they checked for a no ball. Khawaja went on to make an unbeaten ton. Oops!

This could have the makings of a good test. Obviously, it all depends on what the Windies do on that surface, but it looks like it's turned into a decent pitch to play on.

Our batsmen just don't have the fortitude to see things through when questions are asked of them, but at least we've found a couple of new openers.
