The early Guptill/Mitchell v Starc/Hazlewood battle is going to be telling.

    Cricket scores around the world-t20-world-cup-final-injured-devon

New Zealand's Devon Conway isn't playing tonight. He is out injured (snicker )

Apparently little dew on the ground, so playing less a factor?

    I'm on about a 5min delayed stream

The Aussies are strangling the life out of NZ.

Agreed. 1/32 5.33/over and the power play is completed.

Plus Maxwell has had an over, and that's a bonus for the Aussies, getting the 5th bowler through a bit quicker.

They're struggling to even make it competitive at this rate. A bit of a let-down so far.

First boundary for 32 deliveries! And there's another with the next ball!

what's the saying - don't judge a score until you've seen both teams bat

    NZ into favoritism now ...

    Cricket scores around the world-screenshot-2021-11-15-01-12-a

KIWIs playing with a bit of luck ... 2 fours off edges

... then a six, dot, 4 and finish with a 4 ... all out of the middle of the bat.

Apparently the most expensive over of a T20 Final in history!

Decent enough last over, but NZ will be happy with that. They looked a very long way off 170 at one point; I was thinking 160 would be a push.

    Williamson da man.

Aussie has grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. Warner and Marsh slapping the ball all over the ground.

Aussies wrap it up with balls to spare.

    Easy at the end.

Watching a sports news channel now and they're saying the next T20 WC is in Oz next year. Quick turnaround that.

^No I went looking after they said it again on another sports channel and the information looks to be correct. Maybe a WC last year was a Covid causality so everything got pushed forward to just now and next year?

Live Cricket Scores & News - ICC T20 World Cup 2020

My early prediction is the Poms will start with #itscominghome before long but the only thing they'll come home with is a bag of fuck-all, as usual. Still though, some sunshine on nice beaches and decent food will do them well and they might be able to wean themselves off their beloved Fosters while down there
