True, I think Butler deserves equal credit - he came out under pressure of his place with Eng faltering and took it to the Paks.

I don't know the story, but no fault at all, feel sorry for him and bad luck for the team.

I thought it started tomorrow. Never mind.

Pakistan batting, 85/2, covers on it's pissing down, hopefully only temporary.

Pakistan 223/9 bad light stopped play.

I'm not sure England batting the day out in the murkiness is going to help tbh.

Australian men's cricket team's limited-overs tour of England to go ahead, new names included in squad

Justin Langer's team will travel to England for a stretch of six games in 13 days as they become Australia's first national sporting side to leave home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Australia's tour of England:

    • First T20 International, The Rose Bowl, Southampton, Friday September 4
    • Second T20 International, The Rose Bowl, Southampton, Sunday September 6
    • Third T20 International, The Rose Bowl, Southampton, Tuesday September 8
    • First ODI, Old Trafford, Manchester, Friday September 11
    • Second ODI, Old Trafford, Manchester, Sunday September 13
    • Third ODI, Old Trafford, Manchester, Wednesday September 16

The limited-overs tour, which was originally scheduled for July, has been given the green light by Cricket Australia's board and ticked off by the Federal Government.

^^^ Weather forecast doesn't look good for the remaining days. England will struggle with the bat on this pitch.

As long as they struggle long enough to bat it out.

The arrangements seem to have worked well in the two series (not including Ireland) thus far - well done to the visiting teams and its great having TMS back on air.

The Eng v Pak game looks like it could be a washout which is shame but good for the garden.

Conditions might be OK to play but the light may not. There is an inspection now.

Dhoni has retired from international cricket.

Much more movement off the seam and bounce this morning than there has been hitherto.

The rain gods smiled on England and their response was magnificent.

I just feel sorry for Crawley not being able to celebrate his first Test Century in front of a crowd.

Fine innings from Crawley and enjoyed every minute of it. A pity Aggers has killed off the chance of him getting a double century by daring to mention it.
Buttler has been playing great at the other end as well and I hope he reaches 3 figures.

A quickening of the wicket and a nice breeze could make this difficult for Pakistan.
