Good grief 15 wickets today and counting - be lucky to see through 3 days at this rate

scratch that - 16 wickets , another in 2 minutes and WI now 61 for 4 in 20 overs but lead by 273

    Ridiculous - 61 - 5 in 21.2 now and 17 wickets - that 4 wickets for one run

England v WI - dismal 1st inning but we have a chance to make history in the second with only a deficit of 628 to overturn with loads of time to do it - only tho if the Windies don't resort to more underhand insect tactics - sly buggers

Lankans having an England moment 35 - 4 in 18 with Pat Cummins on all 4 wickets 5 maidens and 9 runs

Cummins having a great day - 6 for 14 in 13 overs with 7 maidens.

Loy, its not good for test cricket - players seem incapable of staying at the crease, no patience and want to have waft at every ball.

I remember a time in the 80/90s when you could go out, mow the lawn, make a cup of tea and give your missus her 3 minute statutory and come back and they'd still not scored a run - now i'm not advocating it mind but god these games if you went out and did the same you mss an innings.

If anyone is considering going to the Ashes, i would not buy tickets on days 4 or 5, i see records falling.......

England deciding to show that the 1st Test was not a fluke and have set about repeating the performance.

Following some of the text on Cricinfo I liked this.....

Andrew: "And already Foakes has outscored 4 of the top 5 batsmen!" He's a banker. Greatest player of all time. And so shiny. He and Jurgen Klopp should have a teeth-off

Let’s see how West Indies do.

Lowish totals are not unusual there.

At least England didn’t make any absurd team selections this time.

Some of the Indians could bat for 10 days but players for other nations can't go 10 mins without a boundary and get out.

Hmm...plenty of Indian batsmen get out to rash shots.

It's the modern way, I guess.

mmm Wi all out for 306 but Eng 75-4 in their second innings after posting a very poor 187 in the first so 44 runs behind. The deck is pinging all over the place and even on day 3 is doing loads, can't see Eng winning this....

Good grief Eng 118 for 8 and lead by 1 run, this could over today......dreadful batting - they should be all made to watch Geoffrey Boycotts 10,000 best blocks and leaves on repeat for two weeks.....

    EDIT

All out for 132 so Windies need 14 or two overs.....that's two loses, actually thumpings and they should be ashamed with their display as its was truly dreadful..

A mention for Alzarri Joseph, only 22 and lost his mum last night but still turned up and took two wicket.

West Indies is a nice break in the sun. Playing cricket Is obviously optional and not to be taken seriously.

I think the whole batting line up needs to think - really its only the Bowling unit that's kept them in some of the games at all.

We can't find an opening pair for love nor money, the batsmen seem intent in trying to score off every ball like were in an ODI (Stokes, YJB, Butler et al) and i'm afraid for me Ali has to go, we need to blood some younger spinners - finally and don't ask me who'd replace him but let Root get back to batting at 4 and take the captaincy off him.

D'you think he'll be able to find all the pieces in time?

Would you agree based on his recent performances?

I'd say next summer in the UK should be his swan song.

The puzzles of this tour are not only about the batting.

It's time the likes of Olly Stone were given their chance.

With the pace in the pitch, variable bounce they should have put woods in. Of course this Eng set up won't really change for the last game as it will want to give the poor things a chance at redemption

Well, Woods is in and got two in his first over...Windies were cruising in a ODI styli at 53 for 0 in 17 then Ali gets 2 in 2 and now Woodas follows, 59 for 4 in 23 game on after Eng collapsing from 231 for 4 overnight to 277 all out.

Woods bowling 90mph + so Windies getting some of their own medicine back, 95 mph on one delivery....

I wonder how many times in the last 30 years these exact words have been used to describe an England team's batting performance?

74 for 5 in 27, another for Woods. 3 wickets for 12 runs in 3 overs....he should have been in from the first test, the Windies can barely put a bat on him.

    EDIT

    79 for 6 and Woods 4 for 13 in 4 overs
