^Will be interesting to see who gets the early upper-hand, the Bookies can't split them and its 2.35 the field.

Bobo I'm sure you posted somewhere that you're heading to Pattaya. If you need any pointers on where to watch the Cricket (or NRL/AFL) just ask, depending on what area you're setting up camp I can probably give you some venue suggestions.

Whoever wins the toss will be crucial on this wicket.

Smith up until now has been very unlucky with this part of he game.

    AUS 3/122 - Smith 47, S Marsh 4

    Philander to Smith now.

DROPPED! SMITH IS DROPPED! De Villiers grasses Smith in the gully off a genuine outside edge.
It was low and wide of him, but we've seen AB do ridiculous things in the field so we expect those to be taken.

Over bowled, and the chance offered up by Smith the only talking point.

The Saffers knocked over 189 runs behind on the first innings and on their home turf.

Is there no team out there that can stop the Aussies!

I called it stumps @ Lunch.

    Never expected this ...

Mitchell Starc has taken a lethal five-wicket haul to help skittle South Africa for 162, a handsome
lead of 189 runs with the second innings still to come.

Starc (5-34) as well as Nathan Lyon (3-30) helped reduce South Africa's innings to cinders in Durban
on day two, despite the best efforts of AB de Villiers and his stranded, unbeaten 71.

Earlier, Mitchell Marsh was denied a deserved century when he holed out with an ill advised shot to
be dismissed for 96, as Australia posted 351 all out. (351's ... great V8's they were)

But anything above 300 was always going to be an imposing first-innings total as South Africa lost
wickets with regularity, triggered by Lyon who took two wickets in his very first over, before Starc
mopped up the tale in lightning-quick fashion.

No real rain predicted till Tues, looks like we'll get a result Gents

New Zealand v England: Kane Williamson ton not enough to deny Eoin Morgan's side

    By Stephan Shemilt

    Cricket scores around the world-_100260741_englandcelebrate-jpg

England held on to win a thrilling third one-day international by four runs, despite a classy century from New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

On a difficult surface, England battled to 235, a total that looked plenty when the hosts slipped from 80-1 to 103-6.
Williamson added 96 with Mitchell Santner and reached 100 in the 49th over, leaving 15 to get from the 50th.
He hit Chris Woakes' third ball for six but could not find the required maximum from the final delivery in Wellington.
England go 2-1 up and can seal the series in Dunedin on Wednesday.
Victory in a match that begins at 22:00 GMT on Tuesday would give England their fifth successive ODI series success as they build towards the 2019 World Cup on home soil.
That World Cup ambition seemed particularly pertinent in Wellington, a ground where England suffered their must crushing defeat in their abject 2015 tournament, a nine-wicket loss to New Zealand in a day-nighter completed before the floodlights were turned on.
Here, Eoin Morgan's improving side adapted to the tricky conditions. Their batsmen showed the required patience and application, spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali dismantled the New Zealand middle order and the death bowling did not crack under the pressure of a tight finish.
Whereas victory in the second ODI in Tauranga was an all-round demolition of the Black Caps, this was a streetwise and intelligent performance, even if England were almost denied by the brilliant Williamson.

In contrast to England's innings, there seemed to be no evidence of the ball misbehaving when Colin Munro was leading the New Zealand chase. Skittish at first, the left-hander grew in confidence to punish the inaccuracy of Tom Curran and the fit-again Mark Wood.
However, after he was brilliantly caught for 49 at short cover by Ben Stokes off Rashid, the Black Caps came close to a complete implosion.
Mark Chapman miscued to point, Tom Latham was lbw on review and Colin de Grandhomme holed out to long-on, all from Moeen's off-spin. In between, leg-spinner Rashid trapped Henry Nicholls leg before. At one stage, the home side lost three wickets for one run in eight balls.
However, the unflappable Williamson, returning after missing the second ODI, remained. The skipper played cuts and swatted a Moeen full toss for six but, in the main, accumulated with dabs behind point and nudges off the pads.
He found an ally in left-hander Santner, who made 41 before being run out backing up off the fingertips of Woakes, departing with 36 required from 28 deliveries.
Although Williamson hit Curran's first ball of the penultimate over for four to bring up his century, the Surrey seamer conceded only three more singles.
Fifteen from the final over became seven from three balls when Williamson slapped Woakes over the leg-side fence, only for the Warwickshire man's full length to yield just two more runs and leave the home skipper close to tears as he left the field.

England lost four of their completed 19 ODIs in 2017 and, for two of those defeats, were guilty of naively disrespecting the conditions.
In the third match against South Africa at Lord's in May, they were reduced to 20-6 on a green surface and, in the Champions Trophy semi-final on a slow Cardiff pitch, Pakistan bowled them out for 211. On both occasions, they were unable to curtail their ultra-aggressive intent.
Here, as they ball leapt, kept low or stuck in the surface, England recognised that run-scoring was difficult and favoured accumulation over all-out assault.
Morgan's 48 came from 71 balls, while Stokes was even more reserved for 39 from 73, their fourth-wicket stand of 71 compiled mainly when medium-pacer De Grandhomme was bowling 10 overs in succession for 1-24.
Even though Morgan was bowled by Tim Southee and Stokes was caught at long-off to give impressive leg-spinner Ish Sodhi the second of this three wickets, they had laid a platform for the tourists to accelerate.
Jos Buttler added 29 from 23 balls, Moeen 23 from 19 and Woakes 16 from 15. Even Rashid's 11 from eight deliveries was most welcome.
England took 68 runs from their final 10 overs. Ordinarily, that would be a disappointing return. Here, it was just enough.

Video of a superb Bairstow catch on the boundary at the link below.

Jonny Bairstow completed back-to-back centuries to power England to a sixth ODI series win on the spin with a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in Christchurch.

Bairstow followed his 138 in Dunedin with a blistering 104 from 60 balls at Hagley Oval as the tourists cantered past New Zealand's 223 all out in 32.4 overs in the the fifth and deciding match.

The Yorkshireman moved from 50 to 100 in just 20 deliveries as he sealed a 58-ball ton - the third-quickest by an Englishman - striking six sixes and nine fours, including three maximums off spinner Ish Sodhi in the 18th over.

Bairstow, who eventually fell hit wicket, had earlier taken a stunning one-handed boundary catch amid a disciplined bowling performance from England as they dismissed the Black Caps in 49.5 overs.

Chris Woakes (3-32) and Adil Rashid (3-42) shared six wickets as New Zealand laboured without Dunedin match-winner Ross Taylor, who missed the game with a thigh issue.

Kane Williamson's side tumbled to 93-6 in Taylor's absence, before Mitchell Santner (67) and Henry Nicholls (55) revived the innings with a stand of 84 for the seventh wicket.

However, Bairstow and Alex Hales (61) - the latter playing his first game of the series due to Jason Roy suffering a back spasm - shared an opening partnership of 155 in 20.2 overs to extinguish New Zealand's hopes.

Ben Stokes (26no off 18) wrapped up victory with a six off the expensive Sodhi as England condemned the hosts to their first ODI defeat on the ground in nine games and ensured skipper Eoin Morgan (8) celebrated a series victory in his 200th ODI.

Morgan elected to bowl and saw Woakes give England a terrific start when he had Colin Munro caught behind from the third ball of the match.

Munro followed his duck in Dunedin with another in Christchurch after spooning to Jos Buttler off a leading edge, the beginning of an error-strewn first half of the innings for the Black Caps, who were limited to just 31 runs from the first 11 overs by Woakes and Mark Wood (1-26).

Williamson (14) inside-edged Wood on to his stumps looking to steer to third man; Tom Latham (10) chipped tamely to short midwicket after being deceived in flight by Rashid; and Mark Chapman (0), Taylor's replacement in the Kiwis' XI, was bowled by a ball from Ali that straightened after pitching.

Tom Curran, who was not brought on to bowl until the 40th over, polished off the innings with a ball to spare by having Sodhi (5) caught by Stokes, that wicket adding to his earlier scalp of Nicholls.

New Zealand took just three England wickets, though - Bairstow smashing his bat into his leg-stump while attempting to cur Trent Boult away; Hales, who posted his half-century from 67 balls, sweeping Santner to midwicket; and Morgan pulling Sodhi to De Grandhomme in the deep.

Stokes was dropped twice in as many balls off the expensive Sodhi shortly before his match-winning maximum, Joe Root (23no) watching from the non-striker's end as his partner slammed the spinner over cow corner.

    WHAT THEY SAID:

Man of the Match, JONNY BAIRSTOW: "It's different from batting in the middle order but my job now is to score big hundreds and contribute match-winning scores. That's what I'm trying to do but it's still a work in progress."

    WHAT'S NEXT?

England's limited-overs side will next be in action in an ODI against Scotland in Edinburgh on June 10, kicking off a summer that features white-ball games against Australia (five ODIs and one Twenty20) and India (three ODIs and three Twenty20s).
Root's Test team, though, will stick in New Zealand for the two-Test series, with the day-night first game getting underway in Auckland on March 22 before the sides return to Christchurch for the second encounter from March 30.

    Well this is basically over.

Root said if he'd won the toss he'd have batted, and right now it's easy to see why.
