England 385-8.
Looks a decent total judging by how the pitch is deteriorating.
If they lose from this position it'll have to be poor bowling.
Time for the spinners to show they can get the job done.
^ Flogged ! Hilarious ! Must have been the poor bowling, yes that was it.
The Paki's are suffering the same fate as the Poms did at their favourite first up test venue, known to them as the Abattoir, to us it is the Gabba.
First innings ..OZ 429....Paki's 8/97
England's batting looking a lot tighter after a lazy first session. In the morning it looked like they couldn't be arsed, but it looks like the riot act was read at lunch.

Merry Christmas to all the TD cricket fans out there.
AND MAY THE BEST CRICKET TEAM ALWAYS WIN REGARDLESS OF THE NATION.
That last test between Australia and Pakistan has been rated the best test match this year and it was. Both teams deserved to win.
Ponting to join Aus T20 set up.
.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat.
Warner races to a 42-ball half-ton before the first drinks break is called

Warner made his hundred and it was great sportsmanship from the Pakistan players to greet and shake his hand as he walked off to lunch to a standing ovation from the SCG crowd.
Apparently also a record being for scoring a century in a single session.
.
Warner gone .
Renshaw got his 50 up.
This Renshaw kid looks OK. 136 now and starting to open his shoulders, he's got all the shots.
English born Renshaw warming up for Ashes series in November. He's on 137 now !
Going to be hilarious every time he hits a century against the soap-dodgers, and I will be reminding them he is one of their own !
A bit of reading material for cyrille -

Scratch Ed.
Was thinking Eoin Morgan.
I like to bag the Poms for doing it, but every other country does it as well, uses overseas born players.
Growing up in Australia in the sixties, a lot of my mates were born overseas, and a lot of them were born in England.
Hope Renshaw is in the team that plays England in November, would be funny if he hit a load of runs against them. lol
.
Pakistan failed to avoid the Follow-on benchmark (- 200) ... but Australia didn't enforce the follow-on. About 220 behind, all out.
AMAZING ... for the first time on an Aussie pitch (that I've seen), with the new ball, a fast bowler rolled his arm over for the first over, then a spinner the second over ... WTF ...
The spinners 2nd over, to Warner went for 6, 6, 4, 4, 1 ... and I missed the last ball, typing this.
EDIT:- Warner is 55 from 26 (balls) ... that is up there with the best of the 20/20m hitters, Khawaja is 8 from 23
EDit 2:- Warner is out, bowled, Smith in Warner hit a 4 off is first ball ... Mr Smith didn't.
