Perth is supposed to be an easy one fo the Aussies to win, I think the last time Aussies won a home series after starting it 1-0 down was 1997.

i think disaster is also the manner of the loss. Bowlers being humiliated, batters failing. This sets up a psychological doubt that will carry into the next games. I imagine this is what being an English cricket or supporter feels like. An unending wave of optimism-crushing despair at the start of each summer.

It's odd that you should say that about a country Australia hasn't won a tour of for 23 years.

It's the kind of thing Loy Toy would post, oblivious to the facts.

Looking forward to more bouncers from Marnus in the second test?

    80/5

With Smith gone it's just batting practice now.

It's odd you would refer to Australia touring when this is a home series.

You were talking about cricket in England compared to in Australia.

That response at the top of this post is utterly ridiculous.

    You're just being grumpy.

    Well suck it up, loser.

Also, no. Was just commenting on the game.

I think you need to give the proofreading a rest, you’re lacking comprehension.

Root out for a duck in his 150th test. England 45/3 at lunch chasing the Black Caps first innings total of 348 at Hagley Oval in Ōtautahi Christchurch.

    Oh dear...

You kind of expect Crawley to be out for a duck, but not Root.

All told a fairly reasonable recovery.

The Pope catch was as extraordinary as some of the drops

Gor blimey, that's a lot of coin in India.

A 13-year-old has become the youngest player to get a deal in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the world's richest cricket tournament.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi from the eastern state of Bihar was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for 11m rupees ($130,500; £103,789) in the recently-concluded auctions in Saudi Arabia.

NZ have a lead of 4 with 4 wickets left.

Or as Gower, back in the commentary box, would say "6 wickets garn".

Good chance of polishing this off tomorrow.

86/5 at stumps, oh dear it's not going well for the sheep shaggers. The first five batsmen all gone.

^ He's talking about NZ v Eng, pretty obvious, more so if you took 20 seconds to look at the scores of the current 3 live Tests.

What's he fucking blathering on about now.

Gotta feel for Duckett and Bethell. Got to wonder how long Crawley can keep this up.

A lead of 370 with Root and Brook at the crease.

Woke up at the perfect time methinks.

Oh dear, the Kiwis have run out of reviews. Mistook a tickle from the thigh for a nick off the bat.

I'm enjoying a cup of Yorkshire tea, some crumpets with butter and marmite and a mauling for the abject sheepshaggers.

What better start to the day?
