331-9 is a sporting target for England...
72-2 off 8 overs is quick off the blocks, just as long as they can bat the overs.
151-3 from 20 overs....
...this could be an exciting finish.
Make that 151-4.
Need 56 off 54 with 5 wickets down.
Vince just scored his ton off 91, Gregory doing a sterling job with 56 off 57.
Game on.
A solid partnership broken up and both players gone from needless swipes.
England need 28 off 34 with 7 wickets down.
9 from 18 required, England 323/7.
This is some chase.
I bet when England put Pakistan into bat they weren't expecting to have to chase 332 runs to win.
I also bet the bacon sarnies weren't expecting them to get them.
Solid performance with the bat, even if the bowling was lax.
England B whitewash the hapless Pakistanis.
A three match T20 series starts on Friday with a night game.
A record run chase score on that ground as well Harry.

Spinners shine as England beat Pakistan to level T20 series 1-1 - EasternEyeQuote:
England’s stand-in skipper Jos Buttler top-scored with 59 before their spinners ripped through the Pakistan batting unit to seal a 45-run win in the second Twenty20 International and level the series at 1-1 on Sunday.
Chasing 201 runs to win at Headingley, Pakistan’s openers made a bright start with the bat but lost their way after England fast bowler Saqib Mahmood dismissed captain Babar Azam (22) in the sixth over.
England tightened their grip in the middle overs as leg-spinner Adil Rashid removed Mohammad Rizwan and Sohaib Maqsood in his second spell.
Off-spinner Moeen Ali removed Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman cheaply as Pakistan were left tottering at 95-5.
Azam Khan was stumped off Matt Parkinson’s leg-break, before Mahmood returned to rip through the lower order and restrict the tourists to 155-9 in 20 overs.

The second one-day international between West Indies and Australia has been suspended due to a Windies support staff member testing positive for COVID-19 in Barbados
Confirmation of a positive case came only minutes before the first ball was to be bowled at the Kensington Oval.
Players, support and match officials were given the news shortly after the toss had been completed, with both teams immediately making their way back into their respective dressing rooms.
Cricket West Indies issued a statement a short time later confirming a member of their support staff had returned the positive test.
The Hundred – cricket’s controversial new tournament – became embroiled in a sexism row on Sunday night after more than 13,000 fans at Lord’s were offered a full refund despite having seen an entire women’s match.
Hundred tickets are sold as double-headers: a women’s match followed by a men’s match. And when Sunday’s men’s match – a local derby between London Spirit and the Oval Invincibles – was rained off without a ball being bowled, it triggered the clause for a full repayment to fans.
A spokesperson for the England and Wales Cricket Board said last night that the refund arrangements had been set up “before we moved to double-header fixtures” and promised that they would now reassess their policy.
“With the women’s competition securing amazing support from fans,” said the spokesperson, “we need to consider if our current approach is now the appropriate one.”
Broadcaster and MCC member Isabelle Duncan – whose book Skirting the Boundary is a history of women’s cricket – described the ticket rules as a “blunder”.
“The Hundred was supposed to be the chance for women’s cricket to be placed on an equal footing,” said Duncan “But this reflects badly on the England and Wales Cricket Board, and it sends out the wrong message, because it is implying that women’s cricket has no financial value.

Stokes taking an "indefinite break" from cricket.
The most boring sport on the planet.
As you've repeatedly said, which is pretty boring.
No discussion of that in Australia ... just reports of Poms whinging and whining
It’s understood that a number of centrally contracted players are concerned by the country’s strict Covid-19 restrictions, as it is currently expected that families and guests will not be allowed in the touring party.
Former all-rounder Greg Chappell admitted he didn’t feel “overly sympathetic” towards members of the squad who might be reluctant to play and said that “they need to understand the history of Ashes cricket”.
“These guys are pretty fortunate to be playing in a cycle where they get very well paid for what they do and get a lot of perks the average person does not get,” Chappell said.
Will the Ashes happen? How England'''s 2021-22 tour of Australia could be affected by Covid travel restrictions
There are millions of people globally who would love to ply their trade but cannot because of Covid restrictions.
For those in the Aussie squad who do not want to play then replace them. Of course that should only happen if The Ashes Series proceeds.
LT ... it's the Poms who don't want to come to Australia.
They are arcing up because, most likely, the Cricketer's Families would have to stay in England.
There is still 45,000 Aussies wanting to return home to Australia and the Aussie Government has a cap on arrivals as they have to quarantine for 2 weeks on arrival in Australia.
So, allowing the Families of the Cricketers jump that queue isn't good optics.
Most probably because they are shit scared of the Aussie pace attack.
Cricketers who choose to become one as a career move should do their jobs.
If they don't want to work because their families cannot join them sack them.
I cannot imagine army recruits asking for their families to join them in Iraq.
