^ Yeah, there's a bit of rain loitering around London at the moment.
But the good news is that the sun is breaking through now and the covers are off.

The coin is in the air... and it has fallen in New Zealand's favour! Kane Williamson has chosen to bat first!
Interesting call to bat first as half expecting New Zealand to fancy its chances blasting England out earlier in these overcast conditions, but Williamson is backing his batsmen in.
New Zealand Over/Under (-260.5)
May the best team win!
Failing that, the kiwis.
If you don't have TV coverage, the ECB gave a nice matchcentre.

kiwis are scoring a bit slow
Good bowling by our opening pair, but Plunkett and Wood are just giving runs away with inaccurate bowling... Letting the pressure off NZ.
Stokes looks to have stretched his calf.
^ shame because he should come on now. We need a wicket (or two) because this is just getting away...
I had little expectations that NZ could win this. But if they did their plan would be to just get to a defendable total first, and if they end the game with wickets in hand and get the chance to smash some more: bonus.
It's not a snazzy plan, but it looks like its working.
It’s even imo.
KW’s wicket as crucial as ever.
NZ 1-100 off 21.2 overs
Run rate = 4.69 and with momentum
Great start from the KIWI's
KW gone!
This umpire is a bit rubbish, that's two he's got wrong.
The Kiwi MPV gone for 30:)
In the Umpire's defense, didn't look much from the front-on vision and
any sound could have been bat hitting pad but ...
as cyrille says, from the rear vision "That deflection was very clear".

If NZ can get something approaching 300, even 280 ... GAME ON :)
Well, down to Taylor then. NZ need to make sure they don't lose more than 1-2 wickets more before the 40th.
Plunkett bowls Nicholls. 118/3.
26.5
:england:
Just what the doctor ordered; the two set batsmen have gone. If we can keep them quiet for 5 to 10 overs then they will be struggling to get 270 on the board.
It's exciting isn't it.
Especially the inspirational cuts to the women’s tournament.
what is with the continual music and advertising blaring out ?
Pretty even insomuchas if England take a wicket or two soon then maybe they keep them down to 220 (probably not enough), but a good 8 overs could see NZ to 270 (maybe enough).
Yep...interestingly balanced.
Roy and Bairstow could still make it look pretty easy pretty quickly though. :D
