England
Total: 59.1 Overs, 2.38 Runs/Over 9 / 141:)
Just annoying now.
awwww..... didums....
Yes...heaven forbid they should say or discuss anything within the rules that doesn't suit Australia.....55555
It's a whinge, nothing but, someone pressed their Pommy whinge buttons, something Australians don't have.... even when talking about Broad....
Fuck you lot really are like Thais aren't you..... maybe even worse....555
^ Geez, whine much?
All out 172, well done Monty, I think Oz have to bat now as these two have just shown that it's not that scary.
All gone 172, sadly I lost pictures at the height of Johnsons spell which as a fast bowling fan I would like to have seen'.
7-40 on this pitch is a superb effort.
The blame has to lie with the top order particularly Root and Pietersen. They gave their wickets away, what came after was the result of applied pressure and a great spell of quick blowling.
I'd bat the rest of the day now and give Johnson some time to put his feet up.
Oh and I must say the new Adelaide Oval is still one of the great grounds.... maybe for different reasons but the development is tasteful. I see the Northern (I think) End is listed and cannot be developed.

They spent a whack of money on it, 500 million or so.
It looks tasteful
Bob isn't very happy is he :)
whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge
:doglol:
Early blood. Rodgers can't be there much longer.
We must have better opening options than him.
Watson too.
Batting might have been an error here.
No matter what we score England are going to have so much time..
I'm happy as can be Wally........ Whilst I'd rather the cricket go a different way you won't find me with my temper up.
Might nip out for a beer soon, go see the Aussies..... Pisses them off that they can never get a reaction out of me.....5555
Fuck! shit streams today, didn't even know we'd got a second innings wicket it's been so poor...
Alex Doolan is the biggest candidate I think. Jordan Silk is only 22 and has been scoring big runs against bowlers such as Ryan Harris. Nic Maddinson is 21 years old and looks good.
But agree, Rogers has looked horrible. Hughes has hit a ton and a double ton in sheild cricket recently. Maybe he has sorted out his flaws and deserves another shot. Matthew Hayden started off his career the same as Hughes - always sent back to state cricket to iron out his flaws, and he turned out pretty good.
England might not win this one... :)
Chin up, Marmite, plenty of time in the game.Quote:

Poor openers for the convicts.
Now, Wally, I'll be needing that comfort blanket back. DHL urgently, please.
I'll say it again: this is an average convict team. They are playing well, but they are very average. We have dropped down a big margin, very frustrating to watch...
Monty threw down a lovely ball to get Clarke out. Another positive. Farking awful day mind you.
Aussies should've made us bat again, rub our noses in it; clearly they are lacking a bit of confidence... :)
^^ we are waiting for the pitch to break up Betty , that's why we chose to uccupy the crease for a while. A few extra runs is a bonus too.
The Lyon will roar when you guys bat again.
Blanket sent. The brown marks on it are a new type of Japanese natural scent product. Put it to your nose and inhale deeply and enjoy the smell :)
A more confident team would have tried to bowl us out for the second time today...Quote:

I would say, and this is not a whinge, even though I like the new Aussie manager and what he has done for this average team, I feel the aggression is to the detriment of the gentlemanly nature of the game. This is down to both sides to a certain degree. It's also indicative of international sport and the modern world. But, the Aussies are the better team here (have been for both matches), it'd be nicer to see them winning while maintaining some class because cricket is/was/should be better than football, it is/was/should be distanced from a consumer, greed at all cost, society.
I hardly watch PL football anymore because it just doesn't embody the spirit and social values that I grew up with while watching the mighty Ipswich Town during the 1970s and 1980s. I hope cricket doesn't go that way; this series has been very disappointing in that respect. Winning is important, but for cricket, I'd like to think that the way the game is played is more important than winning alone. This applies to both teams, and both teams have rather let down the cricket ethos that sets the game above the PL and many other games/sports.
If Monty hadn't had that little settling cameo, I'd agree. But by the end of the hour the bunch of terrified rabbits in the UK dressing room slamming down Valium laced lattes would have calmed down quite a bit.
As to the rest, well you're just a sensitive soul aren't you.
Nope, just sad to see the way the world has gone.Quote:

The day that the Ashes tests become closer to Premier League thuggery is a sad one, imho...
All been fairly tame this test, mostly because an English bat hasn't been out in the middle long enough to cop any and not much to talk about really in the series.
But cricket has never been "cricket".
Batsmen rarely ever walk, bowlers will appeal when they know it's not out, players claim grassed catches. Match fixing was always there, WC Grace refused to leave the crease after being bowled, ball tampering, bowlers running on the pitch, deliberately slow over rates, pitch doctoring for the home bowlers. It's all been there since day dot. Aussies didn't invent sledging, Waugh was just very good at it.
Let's face it, there is nothing gentlemanly about trying to hit someone with a rock hard ball at 100 mph.
Boo what are you moaning about? England are in disarray and no amount of bleating can detract from that simple fact.
At this rate we'll be lucky to see a test last five days.
I'm supposed to be going to Sydney, I think I might arrange a trip to the zoo or something on day 5.
:)
