    Weird thing wind power!
    As an apprentice I worked for a short time on wind powered generators with De Havilland Aircraft
    Their concept was a prop on top of a tower that used the air sucked out of the trailing edge of the blades ( hollow steel with perforations ) to create a low pressure inside the tower and the generator was in the base of the tower. Air inlet was at the tower base and the incoming air drove a turbine
    and the generator. Neat idea but never caught on !!! ( or worked well!)
    Think that was how it was meant to work but it was 45 years ago so be kind!!! LOL

    I was only in the prop balancing dept!
