    Club World Cup 2025.

Seems a bit harsh on the players, to be honest. World Cup or Euros, or Afcon Bongo something or Rice Championship every other year. The CL successfully turned in that Euro Superleague people were melting about.

Sure they make 400,000 quid a week, but..... yeah fok 'em. We want football! We want football!

Newly crowned Champions of Europe PSG and Athi-Madrid heading up to Seattle, you gonna go to the games Snubs?

    Man City v Juve.

    Inter v River Plate.

    Munich v Boca.

Not exactly much else of interest in the group stages.

Gonna be pretty embarrassing when the last 8 teams are all European.

Will watch the 11pm and 8am games.

Thankfully a few of them are tasty enough.

Inter v River Plate at 8am coffee time.

Juve v Man City at 2am. Might be worth it if they're battling to be bottom of their group.

I presume it's top 2 go through and bottom 2 go home, not 3rd in the group goes to Worldopa tournament in August and 4th goes to Conferenca World Championship.

100m quid Grealish left out of the squad for the CWC.

2 years left on his contract.

What's hilarious is the qualification criteria...... so some of the best current teams don't get a look in. Does anybody care about it, i certainly don't, just another corrupt FIFA exercise to wring every last penny out of the sport so they can line their pockets.

The European spots were awarded based on Champions League performances between the 2020/21 and 2023/24 seasons. All the winners - Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid - got automatic entry, while the rest came via the little-known UEFA four-year ranking. That's how clubs like Porto, Benfica and Salzburg made the cut.

It's usually interesting to watch decent Euro teams play decent South American teams.

River Plate v Inter will be interesting, as will Bayern v Boca with me 8am coffee.

    Of course....

Chelsea v Tunis, Auckland v Bayern...

there are likely to be some embarrassing rugby scorelines.

The whole thing is a consolation for the struggling euro giants such as real, barca etc.

They sadly didn't get their crappy 'super league', so they can have this instead.

That Real have paid Liverpool 10 million euros just so Trent can play in this tournament says it all.

Al Hilal, Al Ahly, Wydad FC, and Al Ain start to make more sense now.

Wonder if they'll get a favourable refereeing decision or two.

Hopefully it will be played in empty stadia with pisspoor viewing figures.

The only purpose it served was allowing Saudi to buy a world cup.

    Infantino is a bigger c u n t than Blatter ever was.

And Wenger seems to back everything he does.

For a hefty fee, no doubt.

Can't say I'm not disappointed. He sucked up to Qatar big time saying how much they deserved the WC and is still a regular on BeIn Sport.

A nil-nil to start things off between Miami and some Al-Muzzie lot.

doesn't look like they go from a 90 minute draw, sorry, tie, to 10 one on ones with the keeper from the halfway line. But that draws are actually allowed.

Bayern v Auckland at 11pm Thai time.

I'll go with 7-0 and a Saudi registered Rolls Royce to anyone that scores a hatric.

    They should have invited United.

    That would get tickets sold.
