    Football Riches

BBC just announced Real Madrid first to make a billion in a year

The table is in Euros so approx billion $ with a few English teams.
Richest Football Clubs in the World

    1. Real Madrid: €1,045.5m
    2. Manchester City: €837.8m
    3. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG): €805.9m
    4. Manchester United: €770.6m
    5. Bayern Munich: €765.4m
    6. FC Barcelona: €760.3m
    7. Arsenal: €716.5m
    8. Liverpool: €714.7m
    9. Tottenham Hotspur: €615m
    10. Chelsea: €545.5m

At a time when clubs removing concessions for pensioners and kids attendance is becoming an elite activity, while nost have access to Sky at home or pub, it can never be the same as being there.

When I attended many London clubs as a lad anyone could afford a ticket in the stands for first level soccer, I regularly kicked about at Charlton, Palace ,Hammers , Spurs, QPR and my own team Chelsea where I cannot recall exact figure but was similar to a packet of cigs or a pint around 6 bob, only a few sat in those days, directors boxes etc. The only limit was capacity and crowds over 50k were common for big derbies, probably over safety capacity around teh track at the Bridge

Today pooer kids couldn't possibly attend regularly and probably never at the leading Premiership grounds ! Arsenal's cheapest season ticket now over a grand!

At the old stadium where most stood largest attendance ever at Stamford Bridge was 82,905 for a Chelsea–Arsenal match on October 12, 1935.

All seater stadiuns have reduced capacity by c20k at many clubs

1 Tottenham Hotspur 85,512 Wembley Stadium[a] Bayer Leverkusen UEFA Champions League group stage 2 November 2016 [5]
2 Manchester City 84,569 Maine Road Stoke City FA Cup sixth round 3 March 1934 [6]
    3 Chelsea 82,905 Stamford Bridge Arsenal First Division 12 October 1935 [7][8]
    4 Manchester United 81,962 Maine Road[b] Arsenal First Division 17 January 1948 [9][10]
    5 Everton 78,299 Goodison Park Liverpool First Division 18 September 1948 [11]
6 Aston Villa 76,588 Villa Park Derby County FA Cup sixth round, first leg 2 March 1946 [12]
7 Sunderland 75,118 Roker Park Derby County FA Cup sixth round replay 8 March 1933 [13]
8 Charlton Athletic 75,031 The Valley Aston Villa FA Cup fifth round 12 February 1938 [14]
9 Arsenal 73,707 Wembley Stadium (1923)[c] RC Lens UEFA Champions League group stage 25 November 1998 [3][16]
10 Sheffield Wednesday 72,841 Hillsborough Stadium Manchester City FA Cup fifth round 17 February 1934 [17]

What is Ronnie making, 3 million a week?

And outside of oil rich lands that behead people in town squares, and inside where pensioners freeze or starve to death, Haaly is making what in his new contract, 550k a week, say 700k with extra sponsorship etc, say a handy 100k every day in his 10 year contract. It adds up.

The Cheats, with a history stretching back a whole 10 years, apparently make more money than Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Liverpool.

Well, nothing dodgy about that at all.

And a good point about the cost of a ticket, by the way. United recently set the prices at a minimum of 66 pounds (!!!) for the rest of the season for adults, kids and pensioners.

How on earth can a kid go to the game with his mates at those prices?

How on earth can a dad take his kids at those prices?

They just want a stadium full of tourists/customers happy to spend silly money in the Megastore each week instead of the traditional fans, who generally spend next to nothing in there.

What a load of bollocks this season is.

I might have to do a stumpy.

Yep of course teh millionaire foreigners inc my own team have ruined it all for profit.

Starmer would gain a forgiveness for being a a Gooner if he was to ban any foreign inbestment from tomorrow /next season and heavily tax exisiting foreign owners somehow to encoutare Galzed ragheads and Oligarchs to sood off, of cours eit wont happen

Spot on, slave kids making replica shirts, poor mums borrowing to buy the ever changing strip

Solution Club must register 1 Home strip to be used a minimu of a generation 20 years (players number and names in smaller letters on inner sleeves) , all away teams play in GRAY and MAUVE harlequin so easy to spot and clash wth no exsiting colors .
