    The 2025 Formula 1 Thread

Formula 1 has confirmed a 24-race schedule for 2025 that will see the season start in Australia for the first time since 2019.

The 2025 calendar features the same 24 circuits as F1's 2024 schedule, which was the longest in the sport's history, but there have been changes to the order for the world championship's 75th anniversary season.

Bahrain has hosted the opening race for the last four years, but the timing of Ramadan next year means the Sakhir race, along with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, have been pushed back to April.

That means Australia, which was last scheduled to hold the opening race in 2020 before the start of the coronavirus pandemic saw the event cancelled, will step in to host from March 14-16 on a weekend where Lewis Hamilton will make his Ferrari debut.

Hang on snubby, you're the one that said they'd be a top 3 three team by now, or was it three seasons ago?

    You dumb shit.

I never said either thing, and you can not find any records of me saying them on this forum. Interestingly enough, it was another Brit who twisted my words about the Tesla BS. Funny that it is seven years later and you pathetic clowns still bring up that stupid shit. You dumb Brits think a Tesla is a fucking Rolls-Royce, they are fucking cheap as chips here, and we have kids driving to High School in them.

Get some new material you stupid fuck.

TBF, Haas are having a decent season, even with non descript drivers. One Kiwi of extraordinary ordinariness, and a bloke who has learned the crashing an F1 car is expensive and usually results in DNF and no points.

Good luck for the future of Haas who have just signed Olly Bearman for next season.

You silly tosser. Nico Hulkenberg has one of the most decorated karting careers in the field. And he won the f2 title in his rookie year. He is an elite driver who never got a chance at a top team.

You really are quite dim SoCal. I have pointed out, correctly, that Hulkenberg seems to have got over his penchant for bending expensive F1 cars, and Haas are now doing quite well. Hulkenberg now costs less to employ, and he is doing the job he was employed for.

Williams have signed outgoing Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz for the 2025 Formula 1 season on a two-year deal.
Sainz has been seeking a 2025 seat since Ferrari announced in February that they were replacing him with Lewis Hamilton next year.

With ambitious Williams having made a major push to sign the three-time race winner to partner Alex Albon, the Grove-based team have beaten Alpine and Sauber to Sainz's signature with the Spaniard agreeing a deal for the 2025 and 2026 seasons with "options to extend" beyond that.

Sainz better have some good out clauses. Because Red Bull will probably need him. Dumb fucks all around. At Red Bull and Ferrari.

Good to see Williams showing ambition. Norris backs them, Sainz backs them, meaning they both hope for a more competitive car next year.
Vowles must be optimistic now as well!

FIA and Formula 1 have confirmed that Bahrain International Circuit will host three days of pre-season testing on 26, 27 and 28 February 2025 ahead of the FIA Formula One World Championship season, which will begin in Melbourne from 14-16 March.

Strange goings on at the post-season test in Scabby Dhabi:

Sainz had a run in the Williams FW46.

Hulkenburg had a go in the Sauber along with F2 champion Gabriel Bortoleto who will be his teammate next season.

Ocon tried out the Haas along with Ollie Bearman.

George ran the W15 along with Antonelli, who's replacing Sir Lewis.

Yuki had a go in the Red Bull but that's only because neither of the senior drivers could be bothered (and one of them might be leaving of course). Honda were apparently pressing for it, although Liam Lawson is expected to get the drive if Perez leaves.

And Norris and Piastri shared one MCL38 while Pato O'Ward had a go in the other.

In the most unsurprising news ever, Sergio Perez has left Red Bull.
