All Blacks winning streak at Eden Park on the line tonight. The All Blacks who haven't been beaten at Eden Park since 1994 go up against an Argentine side that is riding high after knocking off the French at home in Argentina and the All Blacks in New Zealand.

Razor Robertson has named four changes to the first XV. The big unit 24 year old Tamaiti Williams comes on at prop. Reiko Ioane returns to the 13 jersey and Caleb Clarke in at 11 and Will Jordan return from injury to play on the wing wearing 14.

There are minor changes to Los Pumas with Montoya coming in at hooker and Oviedo to the back row at number 8.

I'm looking forward to this one.

It was difficult to find a bar that would play the rugby in small town Thailand. I did catch the second half and came away at the end of the game feeling quite happy that I'd watched a good contest. I watched the whole game next day and now have to feel a little aggrieved. After the massively over-refeered RWC where they spent so much time doing multiple replays of meaningless incidents that didn't effect the flow of the game it's a bit annoying that they didn't bother to review something important like a try.

That aside, I'd most like to rant about the Saffa commentary team. Saffa's second score was from a questionable penalty call. TV pictures show Saffa player lying all over the ruck and playing the ball off his feet while the Saffa commentator explains that NZ were penalised for not supporting their weight in the ruck. Going back a few years I rated the Saffa commentary as the best. Not biased and called a good game. Now I'd have to put Eng/NZ commentary at the top, Saffa second. Aus is still the most entertaining, but also still the worst.

The Wallabies, despite apparently losing their ability to catch, managed to scrape a win in the last minute. Some clever clock-watching at the end, didn't fork it up like did against the ABs a couple of years back.

Overall, better results than I expected. Boks are a massively good team but they didn't roll over the ABs and ArgvAus was an entertaining see-saw. Looking forward to next weekend.

Great games for the weekend’s Rugby Championship.

The All Blacks off to a blinder in the first half, but the Wallabies battled back to almost a famous win.
Final: Wallabies 28 - 31 All Blacks

In another thriller, Argentina hung on to pip the world number one Springboks.

Saffas must be filthy about missing a couple of easy-looking penalties. Certainly kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought the Saffas were gonna steal another game in the last 10.

At Twickenham the All Blacks just edge England 24-22.

These Engrish v ABs games don't roll round too often but they're gaining a reputation for being down to the wire heartstoppers. Terrible decision from the officials to call back the try in the second half for an obviously unintentional knock-down by Clark, but it did set up a knife edge scoreline in the last quarter. I was laid back on the sofa and managed to hit 111bpm on my fitness monitor in the last five.

In other All Black news...

The All Blacks XV outlasted a passionate Munster 38-24 at Thomond Park, Limerick. With five minutes remaining, the hosts trailed by 26-24 having mercilessly peppered the visitors' line.


In the 73rd minute, winger Diarmuid Kilgallen made a desperate lunge for the corner only to be knocked into touch by Cory Kellow.

The All Blacks XV finally salvaged possession and replacement halfback Noah Hotham stunned the strident locals when he flashed through the middle of the ruck, linking with second five-eighth Quinn Tupaea who put winger Kini Naholo clear.

LOL @ the Aussie commentary team. They had their flabbers totally ghasted. Left speechless, just like the English supporters that thought they were gonna finally see their team win in the dying minutes. Quite entertaining.

This past weekend we saw the new 'escort' law applied for kick chasers. I don't like it. The players now have to not only watch the ball, time their run and watch out for other players competing in the air, but now they also have to be looking over both shoulders ready to stand aside if a faster runner than them is incoming. I can see players taking theatrical dives to try and get impedence penalities. Don't wanna see that poofball crap in rugby.

Tomorrow night 20:10 BST the Irish take on a very good Argentina side which has this year beaten the All Blacks, the Wallabies, and the Springboks. The Irish looked a bit rusty against the All Blacks last week, but should be ready for the Pumas.

England side will meet the South African giants on Saturday afternoon 19:40 local time. After two tough losses to the ABs and the Wallabies, England notching their first win against the powerful Springboks in this year's edition of the Autumn Internationals will be difficult.

The ABs go up against an excellent French side at 21:10 local time.

The Australians play Wales on Sunday as does Scotland v Portugal and Italy v Georgia.
