    NFL 2023/24 No Video Thread

I thought I would start a thread for serious NFL fans, who aren’t interested in sifting through a boatload of videos, just to make a comment.
A new season got underway last night, with the Lions beating the Chiefs, at Arrowhead. Mahomes had a bit of a rough night, with his receivers. Four drops on the night, one that turned into a pick six. Kadarius Toney looked absolutely awful! They also looked lost without Travis Kelce.
Is Detroit for real this year? There may be a changing of the guard in the NFC North. Who’s Your team?
    Predictions?

Wonderful start and good luck with the thread.

Can’t have enough non-soccer threads here at TD.

Brilliant notion, but no doubt the wanker spamdreth will be spamming it the fucking to death in short order.

A reminder that you can see the fixtures here with all the channels showing them.

You can adjust the timezone to GMT+7 if it doesn't appear that way already.

Always a 49er fan and hopeful but not quite there yet this year. A close 2nd I reckon.

Could be right. The QB situation in SF is pretty bad.

Here we go. Great KC Detroit game to start it off. Like every season all teams have high expectations with loads of hype. Dallas has a lot of weapons and a GREAT D this season but......its always a wait and see.

I have NFL Game pass so I do not have to get up and god awful hours to watch it live. I get up, do my morning chores, fire up the TV and pick the game I want to watch. Dallas and the NY Giants play a Sunday night edition so thats 7:20 am here so I will be watching live.

My Pops is a diehard 9er fan. Lets see if Purdy was a winner or a one hit wonder. He looks the part. Dallas now has Trey Lance and my Dad called me names and said that he will probably haunt the 9ers later...HHAHAHAHAHAHA

Smart, move by Dallas. They only gave up a fourth round pick for Lance, a former first rounder, who has tremendous potential.

no team is every shoe-in, in the NFC North. Detroit is definitely loaded with talent, but so is Chicago, and I’m still not giving up on my Vikes.

I agree. Could end up being one heck of a steal. You know Trey Lance will work harder then ever now. He really got stuck in a terrible situation.

I shall be supporting my beloved 49ers as I always do, and of course they will always be better than that Seattle shite.
Poor old snubby is looking at yet another season of misery and disappointment.

Years ago I took a visitor from San Mateo to watch The Arsenal and an England/Brazil game at Wembley.
He's been an Arsenal boy ever since.
Out of loyalty, I started supporting his beloved 49ers.
It seemed the decent thing to do.

Joe Montana has a nice place up in Napa area. Never met him, but saw him numerous times in Yountville and Calistoga.

One of the great ones for sure. I will never get used to the 9ers in Santa Clara. I laugh as when they show a game they still show aerial pics of SF.

I think they were still in SF when I visited but it was off season so no game to attend.

I would have freebies in a box at the Browns too if they'd been playing, courtesy of the wife's uncle being a VP of BP America. I would have gone too, even though they're shit.

But I did get exec hospitality at the Indians and the Cavs so can't complain

Not at all. Chiefs D only gave up 2 TDs. They did their job, without Jones.

    Pay the man.

As per normal on on opening day, none did great games except perhaps Dallas. Then again maybe NY is really as bad as the 4th quarter score indicates.

40 to zip Dallas with 9 mins left in game.

^ Niners looked really good today. On point for 58:30 minutes of the game. One short spell at the end of the half where the Steelers scored. Nice start to the year, now keep it up. We have shot ourselves in the foot with bad starts to the season the last two years. 30-7 Niners over the Steelers who were at home.
