    City's Captain should have had a hatric but I'm sure he'll settle for the trophy and the fastest ever FA Cup Final goal utter magic...

    The second goal was a right "shinner" (actually, off his left shin) - lucky. City were not lucky to win though. Man U played quite well while City seemed in a lower gear and still were comfortable.

    Erricson = awful and lazy.
    Sancho = awful.
    The two centre halves did alright.
    The young left winger who came on late was a threat (probably should have scored).
    The right back had the best game I've seen him play.
    Fred... how many stone wall bookings did he get away with (4 at least)?

    Stones was good, but had sooooo much room with a simple straight ball out from the centre half then he was running onto the Man U back four; should have set up couple of goals in those positions.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

    Congrats all, Utd had nothing to be ashamed of a reasonably clean and entertaining match.

    Will Chitty be in Istanbul at Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Saturday 10 June 2023. The final will kick off at 21:00 CET (22:00 local time). Will City be kebobbed your's uncle or will Joe90 finally discover Turdisch Delites?

    Other than pretty much not having a shot on goal, other than the dodgiest-of-dodgiest penalties. They didn't look like they even had a player that would manage a shot on goal. The gulf is massive, they showed heart for some spells, but they were absolutely, and rightly outplayed from start to finish.

    2 strikers in the summer, among much else, please.

    Maybe the need for Mason Mount is clearer now.

    He’s pretty consistent.

    ^ Ericcson needs replacing, but Mount is pretty similar to Fernandez. He'll be a good player to bring in though, as long as he's not too expensive. The midfield to attack transition needs more, and Mount plays in that "space"; might end up being a great player in the right team.

    ^^ yeah, that's fair enough. But:

    1) City are different gravy, they just blow teams away; they can embarrass just about any team in the world (on their day). Every midfield struggles against Man City - they are just too good in that department, and with a style of play they all know and have been at for years.

    2) Man U have come on loads in one season. The new manager has done an excellent job. There is a style of play developing, still some way to go and more players gotta come in, but Man U now look like a solid top four team (they were an iffy top 8 team for a few years...).

    Next season, you have Man U, Arsenal, Newcastle and perhaps Chelsea and Liverpool if they sort out their problems, as well as Brighton and Villa (could Tottenham even start to play well consistently? No, now I'm being ridiculous), as well as City - should be an even better season next year.

    Sad to say, I agree and another nail in the coffin for those teams who will never get the finding that ManC and some others do (though looking at PSG - sheesh)

    .
    Really proud of the team and the manager. I couldn't bring myself to watch it yesterday, but I feared the worst once I heard City had scored. We fought back though and gave em a game.

    A 3rd place finish, 1 trophy and another final. It's been a good season. Next year, let's challenge for the league.

    Re City: they're the best team in the world, but everything they win has an asterisk next to it. Never let the fuckers forget that.

    2-1 down in the cup final and we bring on...

    Wout Weghorst and Scott Mctominay!

    Maguire
    De Gea
    Telles
    Bailly
    Williams
    Fred
    Martial
    Weghorst
    Sabitzer

    Thanks for putting a shift in and enjoy the rest of your careers (although I think we'll have De Gea for another season still).

    They've surpassed that Spanish national handball team that pretended to be blind to win gold at the Special Olympics.

    Every fan of football knows that every trophy they've won is null and void. They've won nothing.
