^ gonna be an interesting match up. South Carolina gave LSU one of their two losses and it was a serious thumping. But, still going all in on Kim Mulkey and LSU.

    ^They did well.

    Didn’t expect this........

LSU uses shooting, size and foul trouble to roll past Caitlin Clark, Iowa

LSU is bringing a national title back to Baton Rouge with a 102-85 win over Iowa thanks to a first-half onslaught led by an unlikely player: Jasmine Carson. The West Virginia grad transfer scored 21 over the opening 20 minutes, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 5-for-5 from 3-point range, to help build a 17-point lead even Caitlin Clark and Iowa couldn't come back from.

The Hawkeyes fought back in the second half, going on a 15-2 run in the third quarter, but foul trouble for Clark and Monika Czinano left them without enough offensive firepower to complete what would've been the biggest comeback in NCAA Tournament history. Instead, LSU went on to claim its first ever national title. The Tigers' 102 points marked the most ever in a women's basketball national championship game.

Have to wait. The 37th America’s Cup Barcelona starts between August and October of 2024.

    until then.........

    The Ocean Race

Team Holcim-PRB retain overall lead with strong leg 3 performance

The Ocean Race leaderboard is beginning to take shape after two teams crossed the finishing line in Itajaí on Sunday morning.

The leg 3 winner is Team Malizia. Led by skipper Boris Herrmann, the Malizia crew fought hard for the win, which was in play until the final 24 hours.

It's a remarkable achievement for a team that considered turning back to the start port of Cape Town just days after the leg began after they suffered significant damage to their mast. But the team managed an inspiring repair at sea and went on to not only catch the early leaders, but make a pass to lead around Cape Horn.

UConn wins fifth national title capping dominant March Madness with rout of San Diego State

What seemed inevitable became reality Monday night at NRG Stadium as UConn completed its dominant march to the top of college basketball with a 76-59 win over San Diego State in the national championship game. The No. 4 seed Huskies earned their fifth title by suffocating the No. 5 seed Aztecs' offense and systematically finding good looks against SDSU's typically strong defense.

In the end, they were required to hold off a vigorous San Diego State rally in the second half in what amounted to the toughest challenge the Huskies faced in the Big Dance.

The win draws UConn even with Duke and Indiana in a tie for fourth-place in the race for most titles in college basketball history. All of the Huskies' championships have come in the past 25 years, extending UConn's edge as the most-decorated program of the past quarter-century.

2023 Masters leaderboard breakdown: Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Viktor Hovland soar to top in Round 1

Thursdays at major championships typically allow for a handful of unknowns to climb the leaderboard and make a name for themselves before the bigger names swoop in, pull ahead and ultimately leave on top. That is not the case through 18 holes at the 2023 Masters. All the big boys have come out to play at Augusta National Golf Club with three of the biggest occupying the top of the leaderboard.

Tiger Woods makes 23rd straight cut

Tiger Woods has backed into more history at the Masters.

On a cold, rainy morning, Woods made his 23rd consecutive cut at the Masters despite closing the weather-delayed second round with back-to-back bogeys.

He ties the record shared by Gary Player and Fred Couples. Woods has never missed the Masters cut since turning professional.

Woods finished the round with a 1-over 73 and walked off the course a shot above the projected cut line of 2-over 146. But the line climbed to 3 over when Justin Thomas made a bogey at the 17th.

Masters suspends play Saturday; Tiger Woods in last place

Play was suspended at The Masters in the third round Saturday after golfers endured rain for nearly an hour. The tournament was also suspended Friday and the second round was finished Saturday morning.

Tiger Woods made the cut Saturday – for the 23rd time in a row – finishing the first 36 holes at 3-over. The streak of making the cut ties the tournament record shared by Gary Player and Fred Couples.

He currently sits in last place with a score of +9.

Woods began the day with a chance to play the weekend and was comfortably above the cut line when he made a birdie on No. 15. But he bogeyed the last two holes and had to wait for the cut line to move.

Brooks Koepka (13-under) is on top of the leaderboard. He holds a four-shot lead over Jon Rahm. Amateur Sam Bennett is alone in third at 6-under.

Tiger Woods withdraws from Masters due to injury

Tiger Woods will not resume his third round at Augusta National Sunday after the five-time Masters champion withdrew from the tournament because of a foot injury.

Posting on Twitter, Woods said: “I am disappointed to have to WD this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis. Thank you to the fans and to @TheMasters who have shown me so much love and support. Good luck to the players today!”

The golf great had endured an awful start to his third round and the sound of the klaxon, which brought the third day of The Masters to an early end Saturday, may have been music to his ears.

On a cold and damp Saturday, with the rain pummeling down, Woods could be seen limping on the 17th hole. When organizers deemed that the persistent rain made the course unplayable, Woods was nine-over for the tournament and six-over for the round.

Tiger Woods - I am disappointed to have to WD this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis. Thank you to the fans and to @TheMasters who have shown me so much love and support. Good luck to the players today! https://twitter.com/TigerWoods/statu...32270414114818
