I think you will find I Linekers case, his BBC contract forbids certain social media content, because it fuels an avaricious MSM. His expertise Is football opinions. That’s what he gets paid for. He should not use his celebrity to post opinions on politics or religion, as they could be divisive and inflammatory. He, and Hamilton should stick to what they are paid to do. Commenting on sport is their area of expertise and that’s fine. Nothing prevents them from holding opinions about anything, just not divisive and inflammatory topics posted on social media.
Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned.
He isn't using his celebrity to do anything.
He's just tweeeting an opinion.
Clearly there is disagreement about whether or not that's a problem.
You don't have a scooby what is or isn't in his contract.
And he knows what a shitstorm it will cause, which is exactly why he did it.

I think you'll find that his Contract does not forbid him from doing so and that is the main problem for the BBC.
He does when he's presenting. He doesn't have to when he is not on the telly.
Meanwhile, what are the legal routes of entry to the UK for asylum seekers and refugees? Actually, it's neigh on impossible to get a bloody free visa for those entitled to one at the moment.

Many thousands of hong kong chinese managed it with no difficulty when the chinese took over hong kong.
But they were genuine refugees, escaping political persecution.
The boat brigade from france are mostly economic migrants, and have no legal right to enter the uk. They are not escaping persecution in france.
Send the freeloading fuckers to ruanda asap.
You have similar limited information, so stop pretending you know better than anyone else.
I maintain that those who enjoy celebrity status due to any means other than politics, have no business posting political opinions on any form of media. That is not their job. It an be dangerously divisive and inmflamstory, as this instance has proven.
You pretending that you have the moral high ground because you agree with him, is complete and utter presumptious behaviour.
