The Aussies that were still standing must have had their hopes up after seeing Georgia with a 9-0 lead at half time.

I suppose I will have to support Brisbane's opponents again in todays NRL jamboree.
Come on the Pennies!
South Africa is a safe bet to beat Tonga by a wide margin. That will put them at a likely 15 points. Ireland is now on 14 and a draw against Scotland will see them play France or a win and they'll meet the ABs in the quarterfinals. Scotland could pip the Irish with a bonus point win and meet France in the quarterfinals. That would be a bit of a long shot tbh.
Another interesting match is Argentina v Japan. Argentina expectedly crushed Chile. Los Pumas will find Japan more challenging. I think Argentina has the better squad, but the Japanese have better discipline. Argentina could well lose by giving up a lot of penalty kicks.
pues, estamos aqui
Yes, recent years has seen Romanian rugby head downhill.
Back in the days of the 5 Nations and amateurism Romania was the country talked about being admitted to the club and not Italy.
Rugby like i guess many sports at that time in the East was state sponsored.
That funding along with a number of players disappeared (The national captain at the time was killed) with the overthrow of Ceausescu.
Not long after the sport like others went professional.
Romania got left behind, yet somehow they have still managed to qualify for every RWC except 2019 when they were disqualified.
Despite their results this year they have won 6 matches in total
^ I thought Scotland need to beat Ireland by more than 7 points so that Ireland don't get a losers bonus point. SO they will win by a margin of 7.![]()
Well the NRL Grand Final is also coming to a nailbiting conclusion.
Good entertainment these Grand Finals!
Added: The Pennies nicked it with a last gasp try.
No one calls them the Pennie’s.
This is a rugby thread, not a league thread.
fuck orf an pollute a soccer thread.
I'm sorry you're a bit of an idiot when it comes to sports.
There is not "Rugby" and "League".
There is "Rugby Union" and "Rugby League".
This thread is about "World Rugby".
So do yourself a favour and go and do a bit of reading, perhaps you'll learn something.
Oh, I forgot, reading isn't your strong point.
Warning: Be cautious if you are a fragile pink
^
Wrong.
There's rugby and then there's that otter game they play in Aus.
^
Australians have some weird sports.
I think the poms and kiwis play that girlie game called league also.
Australia 34 - 14 Portugal. Not that close but not a blow-out either.
Portugal not really being rolled over like Namibia and Romania.
South Africa 49 - 18 Tonga
Scotland needs a bonus point win over the Irish to advance to the quarterfinals. Ireland is the favourite as expected, but hey, who knows?
England has their 1st place pool position pretty much locked down. Argentina and Japan will be going at it hammer and tongs to secure their ticket to the quarterfinals. Australia's only chance of advancing is for Fiji to lose by 8 or more to Portugal.
Italy and ABs are level at 10 points a piece. ABs play Uruguay, a sure win. Italy could knock out France with a bonus point win (which would be one of the greatest of sport upsets).
Duty Free at Charles de Gaulle airport ✅ Official duty free shop and site pre-selection of the goods in France➦ Mydutyfree ✈Australia's only chance of advancing is for Fiji to lose by 8 or more to Portugal.
^^ France are going to destroy Italy.
HAHAHAHA
A scenario exists where a bonus-point win for Scotland by a margin of 21 points or more combined with Ireland collecting a bonus point for scoring at least four tries in Saturday's Pool B clash in Paris would put both into the quarter-finals while eliminating the Rugby World Cup holders
^ That would be a wild 80 minutes.
