    Secretariat

Secretariat (March 30, 1970 -- October 4, 1989) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse, that in 1973 became the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in 25 years, setting new race records in two of the three events in the Series—the Kentucky Derby (1:592⁄5), and the Belmont Stakes records that still stand today

For those ignorant of Kincsem , 54 races

Kincsem has the longest undefeated record of any racehorse ever.

May toss in Pharr Lap loved in Oz and of course Red Rum who you may have seen in a can of Irish Stew.

Nijinsky and others were loved but Kincsem is unchallenged as of today.
