Premier League fixtures will resume this weekend after a pause to the season as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Seven of the 10 Premier League fixtures this weekend will be played, with three matches postponed due to events surrounding The Queen’s funeral.

In addition, kick-off times will change for two Premier League matches.

Matches postponed on Sunday 18 September are Chelsea’s matches against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, and Manchester United’s home match v Leeds United.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s fixture against Crystal Palace, that was due to be played at 15:00 BST on Saturday 17 September, will also remain postponed.

    This weekend’s match schedule is:

    Friday 16 September

20:00 Aston Villa v Southampton (Sky Sports)
    20:00 Nott'ham Forest v Fulham

    Saturday 17 September

12:30 Wolves v Man City (BT Sport)
    15:00 Newcastle v AFC Bournemouth
17:30 Spurs v Leicester City (Sky Sports)

    Postponed Brighton v Crystal Palace

    Sunday 18 September

12:00 Brentford v Arsenal (Sky Sports)
14:15 Everton v West Ham (Sky Sports)

    Postponed Chelsea v Liverpool
    Postponed Man Utd v Leeds

    (All times BST)
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

That late win for Liverpool steadies the boat somewhat but the tiny totts let in two very late goals against Sporting Lisbon much to my amusement.

UEFA has rejected requests from Chelsea, Manchester City and Rangers to play the national anthem before Wednesday's Champions League matches. The three British clubs are understood to have made requests to play God Save the King following a period of silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

However, it is understood some supporters will defy this move, with Rangers fans expected to pay tribute to The Queen and sing the anthem before kick-off at Ibrox.
I trust fans will treat these UEFA jobsworths with the contempt they deserve.

Keep national anthems out of club sport.

Yes sybille, because I'm sure they'd only do it because I posted about it on a small forum in Thailand.

Hey, you raised that idiotic 'point' in the first place, harriet.

    I merely responded in kind.

Now get your union jack boxer shorts on and light your first spliff.

Absolutely agree . . . firstly it isn't appropriate to foist this on people from other countries, secondly it is a slippery slope - playing the national anthem to some dead Serbian fascist perhaps?

Looks like someone left the gate open at the c u n t farm again.

Lucky draw for Chelski, lucky win for the plastics, valiant defeat for the Bluenoses.

Arsenal v PSV has been rescheduled for next week which postpones the Arsenal/plastics match to fuck knows when.

Decent if not great result for the only Glasgow team not actually making a complete arse of themselves this season too.

Although Partick Thistle aren't doing too bad either.

It's over sybille, UEFA were ignored and they'll probably indignantly slap a fine or something.

    Oh do fuck off.

In what possible sense am I 'clutching my pearls', you increasingly absurd twat.

Because singing the national anthem at a club football game is just sooo edgy?

You are becoming a caricature of your previous caricature of an actual man.

Does it make up for all those mistimed tackles and conceded penalties then?

Written by a friend after a torrent of abuse from Liverpool fans over our victory against the Rags.

Let's help you understand why city fans dont give a flying piss about the "CHAMPIONS" league , because its the most corrupt competition in world football run by criminals who treated man city like lepers, this so called, the best in the world football competition is nothing but a con for UEFA a 13 game trophy that you can loose 5 games and still win a 13 game trophy called "THE CHAMPIONS" league that you don't have to be a champion to get in and win. So let's get to the real point Real Madrid Barcelona Man utd Liverpool JUVENTUS BUYERN MUNICH AC AND INTER MILAN are the real benefactors of this elite competition who were guaranteed a quarter final place each year by the said corrupt UEFA , have now had there nose pushed out of place by little ManCity and Psg and soon Newcastle because some one took an interest and invested in our clubs and did'nt see some of the above mentioned clubs with a massive debt burden with bad business models as something they wanted to invest in , so the only thing they could do was to stitch CITY and PSG up . Now most city fans boo them to let them know that their elite competition is not so elite after all..... As a city fan myself I couldn't care less if we never win this rigged tournament because it goes to show that 13 times winners Real Madrid can win it from a shit league in Spain with all the help from UEFA , and scum bags Liverpool after getting all English clubs banned and still win 6 shit cups shows how poor this competition really is ... That is all
    Shalom

Does that mean you don’t like people who tell lies, and then pretend it never happened?

Hypocrite! It’s a bit like pretending to understand football.
