A terrible way to go; feel sorry for the fella. The curved station platform is a terrible design idea with those trains.

Some quite creative elements in the article "He self-medicated with alcohol" - probably had a lot to do with the reason why he stumbled onto the track when a train was approaching.

If any team can fuck it up now, it's Everton.

More great entertainment from the English. The coronation and then the end of the EPL season. Still a cultural superpower.

Sir Alex Ferguson absolutely despises rangers.

    And who can blame him?

    Alex Ferguson on Rangers

“Glasgow is a city where there is a divide. It is Protestant and Catholic, Rangers and Celtic," Ferguson said.

“I heard Rangers wanted to sign me and of course having supported Rangers as a boy and having lived 200 yards from the ground I was pretty excited about it.

“I put on my best suit and went across to Ibrox. The big marble hall, it is quite impressive.

“When I signed for Rangers, one of the directors asked me about Cathy.

“He says, ‘I have to ask you a question about your wife. I believe she is Catholic, were you married in a chapel?’.

“I said, ‘No we got married in the registry office,’ and he says, ‘Oh, that’s OK’.

“I should have told him to f*** off.

"I really should have but having supported Rangers as a boy and having the opportunity to go out and play for Rangers, you are prepared to take nonsense."
    Sectarianism

Ferguson opened up about his feelings on the sectarian element to the game in Scotland.

“I let myself down there and I let my wife down – that was the most important thing – because she was a devout Catholic.”

Ferguson also said that his experiences at Ibrox were unhappy in the main, and believes that the club scapegoated him for a defeat to Celtic in the 1969 Scottish Cup final.

“My memories with Rangers weren’t very happy.

“I was completely bombed out, training on my own [after the final].

“I can only assume it was because of Cathy being a Catholic. I’m sure of it.”

Looking at Leicester City's relegation from their fans perspective, what went wrong?

    Changing their manager..

Too many out of contract players..

Being run into the ground on a shoestring by the owners..

COVID went wrong, you thick [at][at][at][at].

The owners ran out of spare cash - their money comes from airport duty free.

And he used the club to borrow money as well.

The club showed income of £214m in their accounts up to May 2022, but this will reduce to about £70m in the Championship.
The main issue they face is a loan agreed with Australian bank Macquarie for advanced payments on player amortisation and broadcasting revenue.
That is set against TV money so it is quite feasible the club will not see any of the 'parachute payments' as they will be allocated towards paying the quarterly interest on the loan, which stood at £19m last year.

Just bought myself a brand new 65 inch telly to watch the Premier League on next season. I took it home, opened the box and there's no bloody leeds in it.
