EPL 2022-2023 a Unique split Season

The Premier League fixture list for the 2022/23 season will be released on Wednesday, June 15th. The initial fixture list is expected to be announced at around 8am GMT, with fixtures subject to change due to television coverage and cup involvement.

Yep, it’s not exactly a wild stretch to think the current champions will retain their title, especially as they’ve added part-human, part-machine Erling Haaland to their star-studded squad.
The ridiculously prolific Norwegian is expected to take the Premier League by storm – and we’ve already got plenty of betting specials on the Paddy Power website including Erling Haaland to be the Top English Premier League Goalscorer 2022/23.

Liverpool took the fight to Pep Guardiola’s team all the way to the end and are second in our betting to win the title next season. The Reds can still end this campaign on a high if they beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final to clinch the treble after winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Chelsea were the best of the rest behind the top two but an uncertain summer awaits the Blues amid the transition of ownership from Roman Abramovich to Todd Boehly. They’ll have to strengthen at the back as main man Antonio Rudiger leaves on a free transfer.

A new era will begin at Manchester United as Erik ten Hag pitches up at Old Trafford. A major rebuild is required, however, after finishing a long way off the pace in sixth this term.

Tottenham bounced back from a disappointing start to the season as Antonio Conte guided the club into the Champions League but balancing Europe with Premier League commitments provides a fresh challenge for the Italian tactician next year.

Oh, Arsenal. After bottling fourth place, the Gunners have to deal with the grind of Thursday and Sunday’s matches next year but Mikel Arteta can point to some progress under his management. They’ll have to take a massive step forward to challenge for honours next year.

Newcastle finished the season like a train under Eddie Howe and another summer of spending that Saudi cash should bring the Toon into the top half of the table. Could a title tilt be on the cards?

Was just saying that to a mate that's at the PO Final. Great to see them back up. I bet Keano jizzed his pants while looking not too excited.

    Trap door on transfers imminent

    Mirror says

As the dust settles on a thrilling Premier League season, attentions swiftly turn to the summer transfer window.
English football's biggest sides are all in the market exploring every option as the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United all look to put an end to Manchester City's recent dominance. United in particular are expected to be very busy in the wake of their worst campaign in Premier League history.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal could be set for another busy summer, with Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma appearing to try and force through his own move to the Emirates on Instagram. Alexandre Lacazette's recent departure means the pursuit of Gabriel Jesus continues.
Gareth Bale helped guide Wales to their first World Cup for 64 years just days after announcing he would be leaving Real Madrid - putting a number of other sides on high alert.

Even talk Cardiff bid for Gareth no idea how they'll fund , rob a bank, tax on Anglo second coal bunkers or pay him in leeks and daffodils?

    Not a chance.

Anyway I believe there are other clubs more willing to pay silly money for the Brazilian. Doubt Arsenal will get him.

Benfica forward Darwin Nunez wants to move to Liverpool and the striker is the Reds' number one target this summer.

The Uruguay international scored 34 times for Benfica last season in all competitions, including goals in both legs of the club's Champions League quarter-final defeat to Liverpool in April.
No offer has been made by Jurgen Klopp's side for Nunez, who is valued by the Portuguese club at €100m (£85.5m).

Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez in the biggest transfer of the summer so far... but what else is happening in the market?
Sadio Mane looks set to leave Merseyside following Nunez's arrival, with Bayern Munich expected to come back with a third bid for the Senegal international shortly.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have announced the signing of Brazilian teenager Marquinhos from Sao Paulo - yet the deal is not without drama. Wolves are seeking legal advice after believing they had already signed a pre-contract agreement with the teenager.
Elsewhere, Manchester United's summer rebuild continues as they look to agree a deal with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong and sign free agent Christian Eriksen amid competition from Tottenham and Brentford

Even age 30 looks sweet for Bayern

Liverpool have agreed to sell Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich for a deal worth up to £35m.
Bayern will pay an initial £27.5m with a further £5m based on appearance. The Bundesliga club will pay another £2.5m based on individual and team achievements.
