    Women offended by sexist jokes.

I heard this joke at a St. Andrews night. Presumably now the teller would be burned at the stake.

"A Scottish lady was moaning at her husband, and said "You love the Rangers more than you love me".

He said "Fuck that woman, I love the Celtic more than I love you"."

The Scottish Football Writers' Association apologized for sexist, racist & homophobic jokes made at their annual awards gala dinner on Sunday.

Bill Copeland, a former lawyer and comedian, made the jokes in front of an audience that included former football manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, which resulted in many people leaving the venue.

Eilidh Barbour, BBC and Sky Sports presenter, were among those who walked out following those remarks.

“Never felt so unwelcome in the industry I work in than sitting at the Scottish Football Writers Awards. A huge reminder there is still so much to do in making our game an equal place #callitout #equalgame”, Barbour tweeted.

Gabriella Bennett, Barbour’s fellow journalist responded to her tweet saying that their table also walked out listening to the keynote speaker.

The Scottish Football Writer’s Association lists only one woman among its nine office bearers. It released a statement saying that Sunday’s episode has acted “as a catalyst to review and improve the format of our future events to make it an enjoyable and inspirational event for all”.

How can one person be so offended? Just because she doesn’t get the joke. Extreme feminism has its place, but it probably isn’t at the Scottish Football Writers dinner.

Its a good job Martin Samuel wasn’t there. Jokes about obesity would have offended some fat fucker no doubt.

As the article states, she wasn't the only one who walked out.

Moral of the story? Never invite women to a Gentlemen's Dinner.
