TBF, the competition is wide open this year. As for England, they have to win a final sooner or later. In my defence, I stopped following international football some time ago.
Its like golf and cricket. Only gets interesting in the later stages, and the English don’t usually get that far.

Mathematically that may be so, unfortunately you're assuming random chance of winning, England has no chance on account of being so rubbish and thus your statement does not apply.

    Sorry.

In fairness, I think he has no idea about most sports.

He's sort of like TD's sporting skidmark.

^I know you lot are no fucking chance in this WC, as usual.

Feel free to give me heaps when you win it, but be prepared for what's coming your way when you don't. It's going to be a lot of fun

But hopefully there is some convict sport on today, so he'll be busy knitting and occasionally checking the score. They're passionate about their sports you know.

^Well I'm certainly passionate about the Brisbane Bronco's, was there for the first ever game they played, have always worn supporter gear, could name pretty much every player of any note that's worn their jersey since their inception, and consider their home ground of Lang Park to be sacred ground. But they're playing the Roosters tomorrow and are absolutely and positively no chance. I say this based on looking at the team lists, the weather forecast, and having watched all 80 minutes of both teams games last week. No chance, and I'll be betting against them. This concept of being totally realistic is completely beyond the grasp of brittles, as this thread clearly shows

Serious question: Give me 3 reasons why you think England are a chance in this. I'll be fascinated by the logic you're using, when all indicators are they're absolutely NO chance based on history and current form.

^Great comeback Chitty, take you long to put that together

What about you having a go at 3 reasons England can win? This sort of thing might change my mind:
1/ Southgate has taken teams to WC's 4 times, won 3 and runner up (robbed) in the other.
2/ England has the world's best #1 and #9 in the current team, and 7 others with WC winning experience.
3/ Having recently breezed to victory in the Euro cup with no team getting within 2 goals, confidence is high.

This sort of thing won't change my mind:
1/ By the law of averages we have to win something, anything, sooner or later.
2/ Some bloke with a sporty sounding name posted #itscominghome
3/ It's in our English DNA to believe we can win everything and this time will be different!

    Over to you

^And another too scared to actually point out any valid reasons why everything I'm saying isn't totally true, and why England can win

    take you seriously.

Fair enough. I donīt think anyone would argue.

    Serious question: and current form.
This is the reason why you should never take a bogan fuckwit seriously who chases eggs and calls it a sport and then pretends to understand proper football. The world's greatest game.

    On current form:

European Championships finalists and beaten in extra time
    World Cup semi finalists
    21 matches unbeaten

Let me give you a few words of advice, DD, you mullet-haired bogan fuckwit.

Stick to egg-chasing, crumpets and soft rock because you certainly aren't qualified to talk about real sports with the adults, you dungaree-wearing spastic

Here's a smiley too. You can put that on a window and show your carer you've been earning your money, you window-licking wanker.

And a tabloid press, which will gradually build up England to be a massive favourite to grab the title.

It's never a "could be a contender for the title" or "England has a fair chance this time around".

    No..."it's coming home"

The same tabloids will ofcourse attack team, manager and the FA, when football chooses another home....for one reason or the other.

    Let's see

    May the best team win.

    Ah

    And let me add this:

I hope that England will fail in their campaign...just to piss off it's disgusting hooligan fanbase.

Sorry 'bout that, cause you do have a good team
