It was only a little over a half century, but what an innings it was.

RIP. Lots of pics of him on media with various women, i never realised he was such a short arse.
Yeah, Liz Hurley was the one I remember. That copy of Loaded with the pic from above is probably still at home somewhere...I wouldn't pick it up though if I were you.
Michael Vaughan posting about him with a few nice words on Instagram.

As much as I loved watching him (when he wasn't destroying us), he was also a good commentator. He sounded like he'd be a proper chap to have a session with too.
Lancy claiming a slightly tenuous link to his ball of the century

Often. As a player and as a commentator. He lived a couple of blocks from my place.
I was at the ground for his 700th wicket - my little brother was convinced the crowd would all invade the pitch and security wouldn't be able to stop us. They didn’t. One kid fell over the fence and got nic’d.
I still think he was the greatest even though Mutti got more. Bowling in SL conditions on turning pitches gave him an advantage Warne didn't have at home.
Warne's last tweet was about the death of Rod Marsh, apparently.
Marsh was slightly before my time, but what a desperate couple of days for Australian cricket.
He was bigger than cricket though, Warne. A genuine all time great of sports.
I was at a 1 day game between New South Wales and Victoria at North Sydney Oval and the full house of NSW fans were singing Warne's a wanker.
I also believe he was more loved and respected in England then he was in OZ.
Anyway a great leg spin bowler, a controversial character and a great loss for the game.
R.I.P.
I don't know about Oz, but he was hugely respected in England. Sky Sports News now is totally dedicated to him.
His time at Hampshire was obviously a thing, but he also spent a lot of time here anyway - and shagged Liz Hurley (I may have mentioned this already ).
His attitude, his talent, his humour. Despite the pain he inflicted on us, we loved him. I texted my mum before to pass a message on to my dad about his death and she actually knew who he was and said it was sad. This was my mum!
The England team have just had a minute's silence for him in Antigua (some may say a minute's fucking playing would be better) and Joe Root looked pretty upset in his interview to say the least.
Yeah, in general we loved him. My WhatsApp chats are all going crazy at the moment.
Didn't hear that he died.
Was on holliday in India all those years ago and asked my friend/guide for a place to buy some cricket gear:
"Ah, you like cricket..You know Shane Warne ?"
He made his mark
Noice
I remember going to the last Ashes match at the SCG in January 2004
I thought I remembered Warney was playing but the scorecard says otherwise
It was the only match Australia lost in the 4-1 win
I remember drinking pint after pint of light beer which was the only stuff on sale inside and struggling to get a buzz on.
RIP to the legend larrikin leg-spinner
Saw him at the MCG back in 2000.
Thought this thread was about hair loss until I read the news.
52, scary stuff and far too young.
What did he die from? Heard he was on Koh Samui.
RIP
Collingwood, Trescothick and Crawley particularly distraught with the England team by all acccunts.
Root too.
