No apology needed i think most on here feel the same. There is a little situation developing in the UK with Telfon Johnson which i hope he doesn't survive.

OhOh ... I think you have been watching too much TV, to much CSI.

He's not under arrest, it's not criminal, it's Immigration.

While the timing was piss poor (FFS, let the guy sleep/rest 8/10 hours), they did everything else correct there.

There is no legal representation allowed in the Airport ... that's why there are appeal rights, which NoVax followed and was granted.

I think that is misinformation that was cir ulating on social media.

However, he made a false declaration about intended travel in the 14 days prior to arrival in Australia. A pity immigration cocked up the handling of the situation as this would have been grounds for a ban.

Agreed, but any action now, even if justified will just look like petty retaliation.

Looks like he's lost his base.

Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has slammed Novak Djokovic for a “clear violation” of his COVID-19 isolation requirements.
The remarks came before the Serbian tennis champion released a statement admitting he knowingly attended a photoshoot and interview in Belgrade while positive with the virus.
In an interview Ms Brnabic thanked Mr Djokovic for “what he has done for the Republic of Serbia” but her government will be investigating the nine-time Australian Open champion as “the laws equally apply to all”.
“No one is allowed to breach the isolation rules as it, therefore, puts the health of other people in jeopardy,” Ms Brnabic said.
“There are some standards that have to be met.
“In this case it seems to me that if he was aware of it then it is a clear violation of the rules – and what the sanctions are that’s what relevant institutions will have to look into.”

One person's admittedly unjustifiable behaviour versus a 'nation' making an unholy cock up of everything.

Novak should be awarded Australian citizenship immediately. It would put an end to deportation talk and at the same time give Australia a chance of winning the Australian Open.

Final game of the tournament and he's match point and serving to a tired and beaten opponent. He throws the ball in the air bit doesn't serve as out of the corner of his eye he can see government looking officials striding over. The umpire calls a break, confusion reigns but eventually Novac is handcuffed and escorted off the court.

    ---

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has used his ministerial powers to personally cancel Novak Djokovic's visa, after the world number one men's tennis player won a court case earlier this week against the cancellation of his entry visa.

Mr Hawke said he had cancelled the visa this time on "health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so".

"In making this decision I carefully considered information provided to me by the Department of Home Affairs, the Australian Border Force and Mr Djokovic," he said.

    More to come ...

FFS they've got him for lying, that should be enough.

You'd think Australia would know about this transportation shit by now.

“These are personal ministerial powers able to be exercised by Minister Hawke and I don’t propose to make any further comment at this time,” Morrison said.
Going to be hard to overturn the legality of that, given his bug-spreading shenanigens.
