Wallabies getting walloped in Eden Park.
Wallabies getting walloped in Eden Park.
And a last-minute try to Wallabies gets them into double figures.
But may not be enough if Argentina collapse v South Africa in Durban later tonight; a SA win by 40 or more gives them the title on points differential
All Blacks 40 - Wallabies 14
And quite a stat from the commentary team, All Blacks 50th match undefeated at Eden Park Auckland - since 1994
On to the Northern Hemisphere tour which will see the Wallabies battle Scotland, France, Italy, Ireland, and finish in Wales in late November.
The All Blacks in their Northern Tour will meet Japan on October 29 with one group and on the 29th of October with another group in Canada. They'll then go up against Wales, the Barbarians, Scotland, and England.
Springboks go North and will line up against Ireland (that should be a cracker), France (another good one), Italy, and end of November against England.
Argentina also plans a trip North and will play England, Wales, and Scotland.
pues, estamos aqui
If the Wallabies scored a try every time they were camped out in the opposition 22 it would have been a much more interesting game.
Going forward I want to see Jordie having another go at 12 and Sevu Reece starting with Caleb Clark on the bench as impact. RWC is next year, it's a good time to test and adjust.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
I didn't expect Foster to take up my suggestion about putting Jordie Barrett at 12. lol.
Barrett had a great game at second five.
They were not that bad. AB's played very well, that is for sure. You certainly get a better perspective at the game than on TV. I'm lucky enough to get to see the games from one of the boxes . You are miles away, but you are looking 'down' on the action. There is not that much between the teams. One swing either way can mean a massive difference on the park. In saying that, the Aussies didn't use their noodles. These days, aggression in the forwards is everything. You just can't do dumb shit. The Aussies did dumb shit. For 20 mins of the game they were down to 14 men.
Almost; there are two separate NZ squads of players on tour, All Blacks and a NZ XV (formerly NZ Juniors)

International rugby last weekend was Japan XV 22 Australia A 34, a scratchy 12-point win for Australia A in Tokyo after trailing 9-6 at the break. They play two more matches. Japan have had limited test matches, just ten since RWC in 2019 due to Covid restrictions. A A hadn't played together before, expect a close series.
and no expnation for this:
Canada game against All Blacks XV officially scrapped
Americas Rugby News September 29, 2022
Canada will not be playing against the All Blacks XV on October 29. New Zealand’s second-choice side was to travel to North America as part of their end-of-year tour, but have now confirmed games against Ireland ‘A’ and the Barbarians in November. A release from New Zealand Rugby makes no mention of the Canada match at all, despite confirming the fixture in late June. ARN understands that inquiries were made about a potential neutral-venue clash between the All Blacks XV and an Argentina XV but that will also not come to fruition.
At a wild guess Ireland A and a Barbarians tour might provide loads more revenue than a game v Canada?
Under World Rugby regulations the host nation gets all the revenue from gate takings and tv rights.
Highlighted when Samoa played England at Twickenham. £10 million for England union, they made a token gesture/donation of $140,000 dollars to Samoa.
Hits the smaller unions as they never get to host tier one teams on a regular basis, if ever.
The biggest event in rugby this weekend is the start of the Women's World Rugby Cup based in Auckland NZ.
Biggest crowd for women's rugby already guaranteed with over 30,000 tickets sold for Saturday at Eden Park, previous record 20,000 for the 2014 final in Paris.
12 teams in three pools of 4.
The tournament kicks off with a triple header on Saturday - with South Africa playing France, England playing Fiji while the Black Ferns take on Australia.
England strong favourites to win.
Anyone but Canterbury!
I watched Wellington v Auckland yesterday afternoon, big win to the home side and what's almost a typical collapse from Auckland. Though I spent a few years in Wellington and they've had their share of shockers too.
Lazy Saturday just saw the end of the women's rugby Australia 14 Scotland 12
Go Canterbury!
Halftime
Canterbury 11 - 3 Bay of Plenty
Canterbury into the final.
Canterbury 24 - 10 Bay of Plenty
Italy taking the Jocks to the cleaners 555555555
How are the crowds for this Rugby League World Cup? It hasn't been getting much press here from what I've seen, or maybe I haven't paid enough attention.
You're too busy looking at the wimmins rugby here . . .
Speaking of wimmins rugby, how about that Ruby Tui. Not only is she a star on the field, but she absolutely shines in interviews.
