The Netherlands squad is arguably one of the best in the world and has a huge chance of winning the World Cup in Qatar

Just straight off the bat England has no world class keeper . . . and that's a problem.

No and no. England have a better chance of winning it and that's a 'no' as well.

As the first team to qualify after host Qatar, Germany could gel at the right time . . . the Euros were a team in transition and a few changes are necessary as well.

ter Stegen and Neuer still among the best in the world . . . Leno isn't a bad third

Defence is solid . . . just need to mesh. You can't go past Ginter, Gosens, Kehrer, Rüdiger and Sühle as choices for a very good back four. Skill, speed and toughness.

Spoiled for riches in Midfield . . . Goretzka, Havertz, still believe in Kroos and his sublime skills, Kimmich and Neuhaus . . . could be worse by a country mile.

Some good strikers but this is where we need to add some grit and class . . . Werner is better than he has shown himself to be in the EPL, Sané can be a cracker and Gnabri can do the job . . . but Müller is needed to be the little engine that can . . .

Where Germany is lacking is a type of player like Schweinsteiger who just works his heart out and more, puts his body on the line and doesn't give up. This is where Müller needs to step up, but being a striker doesn't help . . . he's more of a Midfielder imo.

Should be fun. I'm not sure about Brazil and Argentina but aside from Germany, who need to become a Mannschaft, Spain and Italy look the goods.

Bellingham on FFS, stick Smith_Rowe on who's been knocking them in for fun and linking up well - Bellingham, can't make it into a mediocre Merchandise side

That might be something to do with the fact that he plays for Borussia Dortmund.

Is this going to be just as embarrassing as the 9-0 'victory' by Germany over Liechtenstein?

I really fail to see how this can do the game any good.

Because they disrespected the Last Post, I'm only disappointed it wasn't 10.

    Fish on

Anyway, big game tonight. Can the jocks get one past Helge, who's only conceded one goal in qualies so far.

I was just thinking exactly the same about this game.

San Marino 0-6 England and we're not even at HT yet.

I suppose it's the taking part that counts etc...
