I hear that Vettel won't be racing in Sothi later this year.

He finds it "wrong" of him to drive there.

I salute him for his stand and await his proclamation of not racing anywhere with arseholes in power.

Would be a short season for the young german

Can’t see him joining the queue for bread and potatoes any time soon. The decision not to race in Sochi will be taken by Liberty Media. LM is a US owned company that manages and directs F1.

Nice virtue signaling from the German though.

    No-one else will be either.

There isn't an Indian Grand Prix.

Interesting that there are teams making such drastic mods on the fly. Obviously you can't learn about everything in the wind tunnel.

    Everything official is expensive.

I'm sure you can find them on Alibaba though.

Apparently done to reduce downforce at the rear to combat porpoising.

You did that on porpoise didn't you?

There's a nice video of the Ferrari doing it in this link.

^ No just observation. It was a problem in the 80"s with other ground effect cars.
Some of us are old enough to remember the 80"s

I'm sure Adrian can remember the 80's

The Russian GP is cancelled. Verstappen said we shouldn't be racing in a country that is at war.

No! You cannot bring your warmongering aspirations into this thread. Stick to posting pics of shiny things that you think are so important.

A nice article about how the new design pushes the wake higher....

No more of this "dirty air" Brundle keeps fucking banging on about.

Adrian Newey already has a plan to make it dirty again? To stop Mercedes following too close.

Despite the promise of major changes, Barcelona has shown pretty much the same leaders, with the rest struggling.
Will racing be any different? We shall soon see.

Well it seems everyone is having to run around modifying their aero package before Bahrain testing, and may not even have a final version ready for the race there.

Which teams do you suspect might have such an advantage?

Its still easy to predict that. The usual suspects weren’t even well prepared for Barcelona ………

I think everyone has gone from "it looks great in the wind tunnel" to "oh fuck" and there is a lot of work to be done before Bahrain.

I think maybe more that the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) looks great......Didn't HAAS try with only CFD because they thought they could do it all with CFD?
