Cracking game that City v PSG match was last night. Some serious quality on the pitch, and there were some comedy gold moments from Neymar as well.

Despite the final score, I really enjoyed it (and we'll now go on to draw PSG in the next round).

Just how many shots do the likes of Kimpembe and Marquinhos get themselves in the way of each game though? The pair of them have a habit of putting themselves in the right place at the very right time, which is gonna be pretty often when you play a front three of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

Mbappe is bloody frustrating to watch.

Quite understandable at your stage in life harriet.

It was indeed a terrific game, and City have so much quality.

Could be quite a tussle between City, Chelsea and the scousers in all competitions.

What frustrates you about Mbappe, hal?

It was late and a school night, what can I say? I'm not a morning person even if I get a good night's sleep.

You’re the only non-teacher who uses the ‘school night’ defence, as far as I know.

    It’s surprising you don’t have a driver.

Just about the only thing I miss about the ME is the lesser time difference.

That and being able to get a bloody drink in the mid-afternoon.

Jaysus, you've never heard non-teachers use "school night". "Nosebag" isn't part of your vocabulary.

And now you're complaining about not being able to get a "sherbet fizz" in the afternoon. In Chiang Mai?

I thought you had your "finger on the pulse" sybille, want me to tell you where you can get a breakfast beer?

Don't forget the clocks have gone back so here in the sandpit the games go on until the early hours until March. Not much fucking good when you're up at 6am. I need my beauty sleep. Some would say desperately.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

He has everything to be unplayable, but he misses too many chances (like Rashford) and has a lot of waste to his game.

Of course, he's still only young, and you'd expect these things to be ironed out over time, but that chance he had at the end of the
first half and the number of times he could have gone at the full back but chose not to had me screaming at the telly!

Didn't we use to hear the same about Neymar - hardly set the world alight or gone anywhere near justifying his price tag.

    Yeah, that’s what I assumed.

He’s a kind of souped up Sissoko.

Still, he has blistering pace and is an assist king.

That’s the way it is with some guys in the top 0.5 per cent of football players on the planet.

What an amazing segue from ‘Glad Arsenal are shit - I can’t stay up ‘til 10:45 to watch football games - I have to drive a car at 7:30 am’.

As for your tips on CM life - have you found an agent who’ll sort out your visa and accommodation for you yet?

If so you should maybe keep him on a retainer so he can wipe your arse for you in a couple of years.

Well considering you brought it up, whatever you say.

    Who mentioned driving?

Oh yeah, that was you too.

The mind wanders a bit when you don't use it, eh sybille?

What the fuck other difference would a 'school day' make to a male who was not a teacher?

    Do you pack their lunches?

    Start up the yoghurt maker?

    Orientate the prayer mats?

45% of the time you post as a father or five or more, and 45% as a slightly camp singleton, making dozens of 'friends' overseas within days.

Then there's 10% of the time when you 'NEVER SURRENDER!'

    It's really quite odd.

Cyrille's wankered... on a school night

    school night
To have commitments the next day, esp. in the morning, eg interviews, work, dates etc, that prevents you from doing something (usually fun and stupid) on that night.

Originated, (obviously) when having to go to bed early because school was the next day.
I'd love to get drunk and stay out all night with you guys, but it's a school night!

I love it when Harry and Cy flirt.

Btw, I am about to get wankered because it is not a school night.

I'm quite enjoying these Thursday night European games although that could be because it coincides with it being the weekend and my first few beers.

There are some decent names in the competition again this year and there'll be another if Barcelona don't win in Munich.

That bloody Benfica miss in the last minute the other night! Fucking ell!
