The best player you've ever seen for your club

    This fella here, Bryan Robson:

Cantona was the catalyst for Fergie, and always a hero of mine, but there was nobody that could hold a candle to Robson anywhere on the pitch in the 80s (when he wasn't injured). He'd also stand up there with any subsequent greats because he was that good.

He could do everything and United (and England) were much poorer without him.

    * A nod to WBA as well.

Sure, but you're all welcome to join in with your contributions from any sport be it cricket, rugby, Aussie rules, hockey, that boring shit they play in the US with pads and a helmet that nobody else watches...

    Tony Moor, goalkeeper, Darlington
Especially during the promotion year 65/66. I thought he would stop everything.

Best character - Lance Robson a typical British No. 9. He put himself about shall we say.
When he was taking lumps out of the opposition, he would mimic the refs
He was only a part-time player. He was a successful dentist in his other life.
He showed up for matches in a yellow 'E' type Jag

Growing up, the cricketer I idolised was Neil Fairbrother. He never did get the England test caps he should have done, but he was a proper top one day player for club and country.
