Agree about South Africa's game plan. Not that entertaining even if it wins matches.
Not this time though.

I only watched one of the Lions v Saffa games and that was enough to put me off. I'm a big Lions fan, but that game I watched was two sides doing one pass - kick, rinse and repeat. If I wanted to watch mindless repetitive crap I would tune into rugby league.
Before the Saffa v ABs game I said to my barstool compatriot: As long as we can catch the ball, we'll win easily. Apparently we couldn't catch the ball, and got dragged down into the Saffa game plan gutter.
Catch a high ball? No.
Catch a pass? No.
At least we got a close game.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
Based upon recent results the Wallabies seem to have improved.
Still miles behind the ABs though.
Random thoughts:
It was good to see Codie Taylor taking a page out of winger Cole's play book and running freely.
From the twenty minute Aus v Arg highlight reel and previous games: Nick White is an absolute Jack Russell Terrier. Full of energy, consistently where he needs to be, makes good decisions, fires out the passes like bullets. He's got the George Gregan in him.
Man...when the ABs can name a gameday 23 that doesn't include Hoskins Sotutu and Will Jordan leads me to believe that they are a very talent rich side.
I'm not convinced by Havili at 12 yet.
Hands aren't the greatest and he seems to lack direction at times.
Havili is alright (one-eyed Crusader supporter here), but I wouldn't mind having that bolter Quinn Tupaea out there. I'd not be at all unhappy about an all Waikato midfield.
What a test that was! Congrats to the Bokke, but also congrats to the ABs for winning the Rugby Championship.
Closer than I would have imagined
Jeebus!
My fitness tracker shows a nice little spike from watching that last five minutes.

Affirm.
Not quite the 2000 Bledisloe, but defo up with the great battles.
A Victorian RaRa supporter! Well I'll be.
You've just earned some serious cred SW. Craft Beer plus Rugby. Good onya mate. Glad to know there are others similarly afflicted like meself Digger.
AB's v Springboks. WOW what a game.
Reminded me of Wallabies V Springboks in July 2015 at Suncorp where we scored the winning try after the bell.
Will Genia about to feed the scrum - that's the try line behind the 'Boks. To busy screaming my head off to capture the moment we scored.
After taking a few minutes to get the heart rate down:
This interview with Siya Kolosi in today's Guardian may be of interest to some.
South Africa’s World-Cup winning captain discusses losing himself in alcohol and strip clubs, seeing his mother’s face change from repeated beatings and his dream of emulating Richie McCaw.
“Sometimes you don’t know how to speak,” Siya Kolisi says simply as he reveals his often hidden struggle to cope with a life that has been challenging and extreme. As a boy in the townships Kolisi endured acute hunger and witnessed terrible violence and even death.
He was a gifted rugby player, however, and a scholarship took him to one of white South Africa’s most privileged schools. After years of struggle and hard work, Kolisi became the Springboks’ first black captain in their troubled rugby history. In 2019, he led them to World Cup glory and he was venerated for his role on and off the field..........................................

Another interview which might be of interest. This time SBW - promoting his new autobiography
A star in rugby union and league, and now a professional boxer, the New Zealander reveals his inner torments and what drives him on
“I get pretty emotional talking about it, bro,” Sonny Bill Williams says quietly as he explains how he feels whenever, like now, he reflects on his extraordinary life. Williams has won the World Cup twice with the All Blacks and been a superstar in rugby league, where he lifted two NRL titles in Australia. When he switched codes, he won a Super Rugby title and played rugby sevens in the Olympics and became New Zealand’s heavyweight boxing champion.
Williams has also overcome low self-esteem, a drinking problem, a wayward life and rediscovered himself in Islam. He is now retired from rugby, having played at the highest level for 16 years, but he speaks out against prejudice while dedicating himself to his new career as a professional boxer.
“I’ve felt ecstatic, with pain and sadness too, some tears,” Williams says. “But I always say a better man makes a better athlete. People might think that’s some fairytale cliche but the better man knows himself much more truthfully. He knows the reason why he is strong in some things and weak in others. That’s why I’m still a work in progress. It’s been my life – making mistakes and getting better. I hang my hat on the hard work, the strength to learn from my failures and the strength to carry on.”........

That’s a shock & a damn shame. Condolences to his young family and the NZ rugby community
