Our guy was just protecting himself.

From two metres away . . . well, at least we can add that to the list of excuses.
Here's another one:
All Blacks''' wild stint with 12 men: referees missed big player welfare issue | Stuff.co.nzOPINION: Forget the Jordie Barrett red card - Ardie Savea and Codie Taylor both copped heavy head knocks but play was allowed to continue around them.
And let's just switch to the other code
Not really covering themselves in glory, our Tassie-dag neighboursWarriors' boss apologises after unacceptable behaviour, Kane Evans facing seven-week ban
Warriors chief executive Cameron George has felt the need to publicly apologise for the behaviour of some Warriors players as controversial signing Kane Evans faces missing the first seven games of next season.
George took the extraordinary step of calling a Zoom meeting for media on Monday morning that he used as a platform to say sorry for a terrible Warriors' performance in the 44-0 thrashing at the hands of the Titans on Sunday and to address the brain explosions of Jazz Tevaga, Matt Lodge and Evans.
Two and a half hours later, the NRL’s judiciary sheet revealed Evans was facing a seven-week suspension, with Lodge and Reece Walsh a one-week ban each.
Tevaga, Evans and Lodge all sin binned for getting involved in brawls.
^ Didn't watch it so in my world it didn't happen
I honestly can't see the Wobblies string a few wins together against the ABs, there's a huge gap between them.
Yet your photo and the lead up footage shows he loses balance in the air. The media agrees, the Aussie commentators agreed. The catcher, having his eyes on the ball through the whole motion, wouldn't have even seen the incoming player. 1 sec difference it would have been the tackler going to the bin for tackling the player in the air.
But you know this and you're just trolling, right?
Some people think it don't, but it be.
Nah, it was a sending off . . . make all the excuses you want. Just like his brother. If it was the other way around Kiwis would be baying for blood. This way - red. Fair cop.

I'm yet undecided if it was red-worthy, given the revised red card rules. One thing I am certain of is that your allegation that it was an intentional act is complete BS. Anyone who has moved on a sports field, trying to judge and time a falling ball, will know it's never a certain thing. Have you ever even been under a falling ball in your life? If you asked me to count the number of times I've collided with opposition or even my own players to catch a ball in rugby or cricket, I would have to tell you I can't even remember because it's par for the course. Sometimes it ends badly, also par for the course. But hey, we're all big boys and it's not tiddlywinks.
What makes you think I haven't . . . My high school in Sydney sucked big time for the years I was there. Actually, before and after as well.
Intentional, no doubt. Not to kick him in the face, but as a 'defensive' move, to avoid being undercut. Still worthy of the red.
Break out performance from the big fella.
After seeing this it seems odd to think that there have been such big question marks over him.
Still interested to see how he goes against the more physical Bokke though:
I only watched about 10 minutes of a 20 minute highlight show of the game before changing channels. I simply cannot watch useless cvnts that can't catch and pass a ball without fucking it up playing at international level, they don't have anything like the basic skills to make a reserve grade NRL team yet here they are representing their country at the highest possible level.
Common sense has prevailed:
Rugby Championship: All Blacks fullback Jordie Barrett escapes ban after red card against Wallabies - NZ Herald
"He legitimately went up in the air to collect a high ball, when in trying to regain his balance on the downward trajectory, his boot inadvertently made contact with the opponent's head. The accidental nature of the incident led the Judicial Committee to find that there was no intentional or reckless act of dangerous play, with the result that the Red Card is expunged from the player's record."
Yea . . . intent and the law. I don't believe he should have been banned either . . . but it is a mockery.
That nasty Wallybe should be banned for attacked his foot with his face!
That's it!!!!!
Reds to all Kiwis
McLeod pointed out that Koroibete encroached into Barrett's landing space before he hit the ground.
Why are we not crucifying these evil-doers? Carelessly and negligently putting players into danger!
Could it be that we realise there are clear differences between intentional actions and unintended misjudgements? Heaven forbid!!!
^ You south pacific Poms are good and we convicts are pathetic at RU.
Anyway we still have the RL and cricket to pile shit on you lot as well as the fact most NZ citizens would prefer to live in OZ.
Looking forward to Argentina tomorrow
Fair enough ... but I'll be watching the Convicts vs South Africa

2021 Rugby Championship – South Africa vs Australia Preview & Prediction - The Stats Zone
THE PREDICTION (by the Poms)
Australian rugby union is not in a happy place right now after three-straight defeats to fierce rivals New Zealand, one of which came outside the Rugby Championship as part of the three-test Bledisloe Cup which is once again safely in the All Blacks’ hands.
South Africa got their first Rugby Championship campaign in two years underway with a comfortable double over Argentina in August and they will be confident of doing the same to their hosts here.
The Springboks have won the last two meetings between the sides and this version of Australia is unlikely to cause a major upset to that streak.
South Africa have been pretty conservative in recent matches but they should be able to cover -7 in victory here.
I’ll be watching both, they are not on at the same time.
So the ABs are the warm up act?
