    The Premier League 2021/22

    Here you go, Eddy.

Fixtures released and it's an easy 3 points for Brentford. United v Leeds should be tasty with a crowd in.

It seems Everton don't want their fans renewing their season tickets.

Rafael Benitez is set to be named the new Everton manager today after late-night developments, Football Insider has learned.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle United boss has reached an agreement with the Goodison Park hierarchy after being offered the job.

An Everton source has told Football Insider that the plan is for Benitez, 61, to be announced as the club’s manager today.

If the fans can get over their mistrust of him, he'll be a decent appointment.

Certainly better than the prospects at White Hart Lane anyway.

Tiny totts fans were apoplectic when George Graham took over, but he actually one them a trophy.

Gattuso was the latest name to be pulled out of the Levy hat yesterday and my Spurs mate was adamant that they didn't want him.

Well, at least they've now got their wish.

Meanwhile, somewhere near Bolton, a man sits patiently by his phone...

Probably too big a risk now he's lost his "Never Relegated" tag.

Won't anyone take the Spurs job?

Apparently they have moved on to Nuno now - not wanted by Everton because his backroom team is too big.

Maybe the tiny totts have a "We don't have to pay you up if we sack you" clause or something, nothing Levy does would surprise me.

Must go and look at the EFC twitter feed...

Experienced, title-winning manager Rafa Benitez is the new coach of Everton, the club announced on Wednesday. The 61-year-old Spanish boss returns to the Premier League after two years in China, joining his third English club.

Spurs have just announced Nuno. https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/st...17279598944263

He'll get them results, but if they thought football under Mourinho was boring...

Vieira to Palace on the cards as well.

Arsenal have supposedly signed Benfica defender Nuno Tavares so the tiny totts might not be the only club getting a Nuno.

There is going to be a song in there at the very first derby I am sure.

    Bit of a gamble that.

Crystal Palace announced former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira as the club's new manager on Sunday, following a prolonged search for a successor to Roy Hodgson

    Someone's late for training.

A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences and suspended by his club, it was revealed on Monday night.

The player, who Telegraph Sport cannot name for legal reasons, was arrested last week by Greater Manchester Police and was released on bail pending further enquiries.

The Sun reported on Monday night that police had raided the player’s home earlier this month.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on Friday 16 July 2021 on suspicion of child sex offences.

Just had a look through the first team squads for both Man United and City, and there is only one 31 year old. Kyle Walker of City.

My first thought was "please, please, don't let it be someone from United, CCC will never let us live it down!". That started the search of both teams squads. Closest in United is David DeGea, but he's only 30. Only one 31 year old in City's squad.

    Is there a fantasy league/thread? I didn't see a proper TD league/thread last season.

I was just going to say I just got a cryptic message from a Toffee-supporting mate:

Siggys in a spot of bother...
