Did you see how Lukaku set Werner up there?

    He fluffed it horrendously.

He looks like a schoolboy sometimes.

I can see the two Manchester clubs fighting it out for a Euro Conference spot.

And Jadon Sancho finally discovering his niche in kabaddi.

I don't think Sancho could cut it in kabaddi. Maybe ballet dancing or something like that.

Top 4 cut and dried this year with all the money that's been spunked and the players they have.

    Chelsea
    Liverpool
    United
    _________

Probably the safest bet there's ever been in a while (although the exact order is hard to choose). Leicester look like they've peaked and the only other team that might come close appear to be West Ham. Maybe Villa next season if they carry on making progress.

Are Villa a big rival of yours?

Wolves fans never believe I'm an Albion fan who doesn't give a stuff about them.

I was born 8 miles north of Birmingham, so equidistant between Villa Park and The Hawthorns.

Wolverhampton is just on the way to Wales, and why on earth would anyone go there?

So yes, for me and about 5% of the kids I went to school with...Villa are our most important rivals.

Kind of uncool to admit it in current circumstances - but there it is.

    Dean Smith on termorreh's game:

I’ve seen David de Gea’s interview this morning and they’ve got title aspirations. A club like Manchester United should have," Smith said on VillaTV. “They’ve just brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho this summer to add to a glittering squad already. “It’s a massive club with a massive history, and they’re going to be pushing to challenge the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. “Our job is to go there and go toe-to-toe with them like we did at Chelsea.”

It'll be tough and they were the better team against Chelsea for 45.

    PS. Fuck off dil.

One of my pals is a big blues fan and the only team he hates is Villa, but there are so many potential rivals there with Wolves and your lot around. Even Stoke aren't too far away.

It must be pretty shitty being a Coventry fan knowing that nobody gives a toss about you apart from Nuneaton.

With Varane and Ronaldo - serial winners?

Absolutely - this is a new level.

For a guy who basically has the job because of one reflex stab at goal in the six yard box.

Oh and because Ryan Giggs has the charisma of a flat tyre.

He's (still) got the job on the basis that he has improved the team every year. After the chaos and shite of Moyes, VdG and Mourinho, a steady hand has been more than welcome even if it isn't to the preference of the naysayers who would love to see a United legend fail.

Ah yes, is this the 'hatred' that Mao's been droning on about?

The truth is that your club has belatedly got its organisational structure sorted out.

And Ole's in an unforgiving and rather hot spotlight.

My bet is that he's a...

Can you eat three Shredded Wheat while standing on your head and singing Kumbaya?

    Bet you can't.

I still say the Johan Cruyff Arena has it right. They give you a holder so you can carry four pints back to your seat, and people pass spliffs around.

ENGLISH FOOTBALL’S LONGSTANDING ban on fans drinking alcohol while watching matches could reportedly be lifted if the recommendations of former British sports minister Tracey Crouch’s fan-led review are accepted.
The ban has been in place since 1985 when the game was plagued by hooliganism, but Crouch’s independent review will call for pilot schemes to allow drinking at clubs in the National League Premier and League Two with a view to ending the restrictions across all divisions, according to The Times.
Though drinking continues to be allowed at sports such as rugby and cricket, Crouch’s proposals will spark debate – particularly after the crowd trouble during the Euro 2020 final at Wembley this summer – but the MP believes the current rules encourage binge-drinking and are part of the problem.
“Our view on alcohol and football is outdated,” Crouch told the Times. “It’s not helped when you see scenes like we did at Wembley. But that’s why I would pilot it first.
Crouch added: “We kettle people into drinking quickly at half-time. And that is the unhealthy aspect of the football fan’s relationship with alcohol. They drink a lot in a short space of time. So my recommendation is to pilot this and not have to down a pint at half-time.”
Thirty-six-year ban on alcohol in English football stands could be lifted following fan-led review

I'd rather 3 European Cups and 20 league titles.
