They'll be richer than PSG and City combined.

    Well it's official.

    Newcastle are Saudi owned.

Apparently they had to lift the ban on Bein Sports for it to happen.

I don't know if they're still doing their witty "BeOut" sports channels.

Added: It seems they took it down already.

In August 2019, the service abruptly ceased operations; although it claimed that the service had been taken down for "upgrades", it never resumed operations. In October 2021, after the diplomatic crisis was resolved, beIN Media Group stated that Saudi Arabia was planning to lift its ban on the beIN Sports service.

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) will own 80 per cent of the club
PIF assets valued at... $500 Billion.

Another despotic owner of a premier league team, its not a good advert for the FA and the scum that run it.

The country has the best, most exciting football league but its tainted. These self same owners tried to split away to form the Euro league and all the while nothing is done and the trickle down TV rights policy continues to fail to fund lower league clubs.

The FA should be brought to account, they have failed English floorball and its supporters for decades.

Just look even deluded Hal has bought into the coolaid from the Glazers

I do love the fans' reaction after the sale . . . 'can't do nuffink about 'uman roits.'

    Anyway:

there is also something wretched, hypocritical and deeply depressing in English football’s willingness to welcome into its elite members’ club the blood-soaked, repressive, deeply discriminatory Saudi state.

It's not just in England . . . but it certainly is a bit sad

[Hatice Cengiz, widow of Jamal Khashoggi]: It is so terrible to read that once again money has been more important than justice. What a shame and embarrassment for Newcastle that they are now owned by those who murdered Jamal Khashoggi.
Sunderland and Boro fans now trying to find words that rhyme with "Khashoggi".

Brucie's game against the White Hart pub team would be his 999th in charge.

I suppose it would be interesting if instead of sacking managers, they beheaded them in the middle of Eldon Square.

Well fuck, I hope he makes it.

You can just imagine that club diddling him out of his retirement timepiece.

Sssssh you might give them ideas for half time entertainment.

They shouldn't have any trouble finding adulterous females dancing around their handbags in Tynemouth.

In the words of the Guardian's Barry Glendenning: having their club bought by a wealthy tyrant accused of complicity in human rights abuses, torture, illegal air-strikes and murder leaves Newcastle fans with a dilemma to ponder. Specifically: 'Who should we buy first?'

Hopefully they'll start Lingard with Fred thrown in for free.
