Every one of those ties has the potential to be a disaster, doesn't it.

I'm convinced that at least one of the three will fulfil that potential.

That could just be after witnessing almost 50 years of utter shyte though, and not be a true reflection of England's current status as one of the four best teams in the world.

I see Gareth's helping his old mates in Middlesbrough out, anyway.

Kane to get badly injured in the friendly and we all end up praying to Mystic Meg to heal him.

Feels like the UK public cannot wait for England to fail. They're already getting the noose ready for Southgate.

Yeah, the whole furore over TTA was ridiculous.

At least that looks like it's been defused, and Southgate can just pick from the three others who've been, y'know, playing better.

Scotland looked strong against Holland, even though 6 players were in isolation, including John McGinn and Che Adam’s.

Everyone thought Clarke was mental to take the Scotland Job when he was doing amazing things at Kilmarnock and he’s shaping up to be the best Scotland Manager of my lifetime.

I wasn't even considered for this mortal coil in 1977.

In my lifetime we have defeated you twice. A 1985 friendly and 1999 in the Euros. Drawn 3 times, including our most recent encounter in 2017 WCQ. And lost 9.

You can get 279/1 for Scotland while some bookies have England as favourites at 4/1.

I will give you all 1,000/1 odds that I will keep posting in this thread if you bastards win it :P

Well I suppose that rules out any quandaries about whether to pick him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is out of the Euros. Devastating news for the #LFC right-back. Scan revealed he suffered a grade two quad tear v Austria. Out for 4 to 6 weeks. Will return home from the England squad tonight.

All round, it's probably the best squad we've had in my lifetime (86 and 90 WC first 11s were top notch wherever you looked with top quality in every position) but, yeah, it's England.

I don't think we are at quite the level we were a couple of years ago, but I only see France who are possibly stronger. But, yeah, it's England.

The sweaties will be right up for it and have a few decent players these days. Expect problems there.

Although he is a decent manager, the difference is that you have some decent players this time around (and he's also not just choosing players from the Championship cos they play in England).

Mctominay, Tierney and Robertson would be challenging any team in the world for first choice. The likes of Turnbull, Mcginn, Adams and Fraser are also very capable too.

There is quality there, but I hope we fucking belt you.

Any odds on a Scottish pitch invasion?

I noticed Dillinger partook in a pitch invasion today.

The only invasions that Brummie knob has been doing are into the crack pipe on the streets of Handsworth, the fucking reprobate.

The Golden Generation in the mid-00's was world class in every position bar possibly GK and left winger.

Yeah, they came to mind too, but I think there's probably more depth with this lot. A young squad too.
