    Let's just look at statistics.

    Euros:
Germany and Spain have won the Euros three times each
France has won the Euros twice
    Portugal once

England? Well . . . one day, maybe this time. Its coming home, I've heard.

    World Cup: (European nations)
Germany has won four (all legitimate, no collusion with the refs, balls crossing the goal line etc...)
    Italy has won four
    France has won two

England has 'won' 1 - well done, you.

And to give you more hope - Portugal has never won the World Cup.

I have been a bit disappointed with the English performance, I really thought Grealish, Foden and a few others would be put through it and shine. No offence to Dirk but the first two games . . . a bit dire. I still believe they can beat France, Portugal or Germany on a good day, but it seems it has to be either a very good day or a very bad day for the three.

Whoever they play, Southgate needs to realise it's time to unleash Grealish and Saka on them.

    Oh FFS...

ENGLAND bosses are undertaking urgent talks to ensure Gareth Southgate's squad are Covid-free after Billy Gilmour's positive test.

The Scotland midfielder has been diagnosed with the illness just days after facing the Three Lions at Wembley.

It is understood Gilmour does not have symptoms. But the 20-year-old was seen hugging Chelsea team-mates Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell, and Scotland boss Steve Clarke, after he shone during Friday's game.

Dembele has gone home with a tournament-ending injury.

Fancy a penalty shootout with Portugal in the 1/4s?

You think they'll get *that* far?

You must share gag writers with the bloke in the Indy who wrote about who Scotland will play in the last 16.

Is it ITV that don't show the teams lined up in their formations before the KO?

Ukraine were very disappointing, as flat as a rag doll's tits.

I was expecting more from their previous exploits.

It happens all the time or Germany would have 20 world cups, 20 euros etc... My point was why fret as the best teams will end up playing each other eventually anyway. Germany has sucked the last few tournaments - thanks only to the U-21s for winning the Euros this year. No-one is stressing about it - it'll happen again.

Could be a blessing in disguise if Bellingham comes in and shines.

That boy's gonna be big, either this tournament or next.

Mount and Chilwell are out of tonight's game, and almost certainly unavailable for the next round too.

Now he's not really got any excuse not to shake things up a bit.

Let's hope he tries to be a little more dynamic, this stoopid slow, safe passing shit isn't going to get us anywhere.

We're just waiting to be picked off.

Even if he pick Grealish, and a penalty is awarded in England’s favour, they will still lose at the next stage. South Gate is preparing for the consequences of his inevitable failure.

Lack of imagination, and a lack of trust in those he has chosen to represent the country.

0.5 goals per game thus far is Stephen Kenny-ish.

Tonight must be the first night with no big teams playing.

Bit like that WC 2006 Swedish knob that suffered from SPD (sybil personality disorder) and refused to play Walcott even though Roonz was injured for half the tournament.

So something to do with Rooney and Walcott is apparently something to do with me?

Did you not get enough attention for your wet t-shirt contest this morning, or something?

    Oh, no.

I was referring to your similar personalities and charisma.

    ‘Us’ … ‘We’re’…

We've already qualified so SG may well shake it up a bit. I think we need a convincing win though otherwise we head into the last 16 with no confidence and probably fall at the first hurdle. I've ordered some hair bleach from Lazada so hoping they at least last until it arrives.
I'd like to see what morning looks like

I wanna wake up without feeling sick
